Maureen gave our 4th Bible Reflection at Morning Prayer. We've been working through the Gospel of Luke, in preparation for Bible Conversations Teesside.

The set daily reading was a tricky passage from Luke 19, where Jesus clears the Temple courts saying:
“It is written, ‘My house will be a house of prayer’[c]; but you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’" (v26)

It was so good to hear Gillian's Bible reflection at Morning Prayer on Jesus' words in Luke 18; “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these"

As part of our prep for Bible Conversations Teesside we've been hearing bible reflections from different members of our church family at our Wednesday Morning Prayer service. Chris kicked us off talking about 'entering through the narrow door' from Luke 13.

The week after Gill reflected on what we can learn from Elizabeth, Mary's cousin in Luke 1.

A group from St Martin’s went to the recent Bible Conversations Teesside training evening. It was so exciting to hear more about what’s coming in the Autumn! We were also inspired and encouraged in how each of us can share the ways following Jesus shapes our life, and the hope we find in the bible.

“I was shocked to hear the heartbreaking news of this morning’s fatal collision on the A66. My heart and prayers, along with those of churches across our town, go out to everyone involved and to all whose lives have been changed forever by this devastating crash.

“Words are inadequate, but we pray that all those affected, including those who serve in our emergency services, may know God’s presence and love.”
