Bishop Marcus will ordain Deacon Douglas McKittrick to the sacred priesthood at St Mary’s Cathedral at noon on Saturday March 28.
He will continue to serve at St Leonard & St Mary, Malton, and St Joseph, Pickering, alongside Father Timothy Bywater
Please keep Deacon Douglas in your prayers as he prepares for this very special day in his life.

All are welcome in the Cathedral at 5.30pm on Wednesday as we keep the eve of the Solemnity of St Joseph, Husband of Our Lady, with First Vespers. Our Cantor will lead us in the propers of the day, as well as singing a setting of the traditional Cherry Tree Carol as our anthem.

All are welcome for a time of prayer, reflection, quiet, and contemplation in the presence of Our Lord.

After November's concert was postponed, we have a new date for An Evening of Praise with Jo Boyce and Friends!

And it’s going to be extra special, as Jo and friends will be joining us during our Ruby Jubilee weekend for a wonderful evening of music and praise. Many will know Jo from Lourdes, BBC Songs of Praise and other TV and radio appearances.

Our Lenten journey continues with Sung Evening Prayer with Adoration and Benediction this Wednesday at 5.30pm.

Join us in the Cathedral for a time of prayer, reflection, quiet, and contemplation in the presence of Our Lord. Our Cantor will lead our singing, with the motet looking towards Holy Week, being part of Pergolesi's much-loved "Stabat Mater".
