Good afternoon. Today I will post Mari's message to us all at this sad time.

This week, our final goodbyes will have to said to Helen after so many years of service in Tabernacle. I'll always remember a young girl in 1979 coming to the services and trying to keep her younger brothers in order. I can also remember a trio of teenagers: Cathy, Donna and Helen singing "Three Little Maids" in one of our concerts. Helen was very unsure of being able to do it, but she did, and sang admirably! Happy days 🎵
May we ask God's blessing on the family as they continue to come to terms with their loss, especially the children who will miss her so much.
But like always, we that are left must continue to work for God's Kingdom until such a time when we will all be together again. Lovely thought!
We look towards the week ahead knowing that despite the sorrowful times, there will be blessed times too, because that's how life works.
May this week give us faith, hope and love through Christ our Saviour.

This has been such a sad time here in Tabernacle, as we have lost our friend and fellow deacon, Helen. She suffered her cruel illness for a long time without a complaint. If there was a problem with the chapel Helen, with her calm, unflappable nature, would sort it without a fuss. She taught our young ones in the Sunday school with patience and with love. It is hard to imagine life without her.

We all have our own, special memories of Helen. She touched our lives in so many different ways. For me, I will remember her matter of fact bravery. Her memory will continue to inspire me for the rest of my life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family whom she loved with all her heart and who all loved her.

God bless you Helen on your journey home to our Father God. We know that your Dad and Mam are there to welcome and guide you home.

Good afternoon everyone. This is short today because I'm in hospital. All i can say is thankyou father for the wondetful doctors, nurses and other staff who keep our hospitals running. They really are the most wonderful people. X###x

Good afternoon. First of all apologies for not sending the at home service last week. I was out all day watching a martial arts competition, and no, I wasn't competing myself!!!🫣

Tomorrow's service in Tabernacle will be led by John Roberts. I think we would all agree that he brings us joy every time he comes.

Even in times of worry and sadness we can know joy, because joy comes from the peace we feel in our knowledge of the teachings of Christ.
Where there is love there is joy.
Where there is hope there is joy.
And where there is faith there is joy -
even in our darkest moments.

How lovely it is to hear the rain. It is our Father's answer to all the fires that were still smouldering in the peat. Let us remember to pray for all the wildlife, killed or made homeless, so that it will all flourish once again. Also we pray for those who lost their homes and for those who bravely fought the flames.

The summer holidays are almost over and our children will soon be back in school, or college. Let's say a special prayer for each of them, especially those starting school for the first time, starting in year 7 in the comps, or going on to higher education. Also special prayers for those who are leaving education behind. In these difficult times we pray that they will find rewarding jobs and that their new paths will be happy and full of love and hope.

Tomorrow's service will be led by pastor John Roberts. He brings such joy with him every time he comes. Join us if you can. If not hete is Mari's short at home service so that you can join us in spirit and in friendship.

Good morning.
Doesn't our world seem a confusing place now? Wars, heat waves, pollution, greed and predjudice are all taking their toll on our hopes for the future.
It is at times like these that we must turn to Jesus. He is our Saviour. He taught us that the most important thing is love - love for our God, love for our family and friends, and love for the stranger.
It's hard, sonetimes, not to hate, especially when we think about the inhuman atrocities taking place in the world every day. Some prominent and powerful people seem to have nothing but hate in their hearts. We must not let hate win, and the only way we can do that is to nurture Christ's love in our hearts and minds every single day.
Look for the kind acts, see the goodness in people, search for the love and you will find it - in Christ's name you will find it. In Christ there is hope.

What a blessing today that it's not quite so hot. This unnatural weather and all the deliberate fires make me so angry. What a mess we are making of this beautiful world our Father made for us. We need to pull ourselves together and sort this out. Imagine the wild life destroyed, the homes ruined, and fields laid bare of crops. How sad God must be that we treat His beautiful creation with such contempt.

Let us all pray for God's help and guidance. With prayer, through the love and teaching of Jesus, we can overcome everything. Every prayer matters. Every prayer is heard.
