We're all ready to open our doors tomorrow for Maud Church's 150th Anniversary Open Weekend!

So much has been going on behind the scenes and now the church is full of 150 years of history, photographs, stories and memories — with plenty to discover as you make your way around.

𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗢!

Just one week until Maud Church opens its doors to celebrate 150 years!

Whether you're interested in local history, the history of Maud, or simply curious to see what we've uncovered, there's something for everyone.

We've been delving into the church archives and gathering photographs, newspaper articles, stories and memories from across the years.

You might discover something you never knew about Maud…

You might recognise a familiar face in an old photograph…

Or perhaps you'll even spot yourself!

We're looking back at the people and events that have shaped the church and the village — from ministers and congregations to school visits, Guides, children's groups, weddings, celebrations and community events.

There will be plenty to explore, including our 150-year timeline, historical displays, personal stories, photographs and memories — with opportunities to share some of your own memories too.

Our exhibition is starting to come together, with photos and stories coming in and our research giving great details to the ministers and events that spans the 150 year timeline of the church.

We've also begun to find things you may not know... from successful novelists daughters, to ministers who dress up at Christmas and one who became president of Maud Golf Club!!

We hope you can come along on 29th and 30th August and see all about it.

It's looking like we might have good weather for the Church picnic on Sunday but rain or sunshine we will have a good time.

All are welcome to our our joint Family Service with St Kane's Church when children will receive their Sunday Club presentations. Please come along and join the fun at the picnic afterwards.

Soup and sweet is on at the Church Hall on Monday folks.
It's always lovely to see folk come together to share a nice home made meal, good company and always a warm welcome.
