Say hello to Rachel our new schools visitor!

"I joined MAST as schools visitor in October 2025. Since then it has been a privilege to establish links with local schools. Currently I regularly visit 6 primary schools. Over the past term, I have enjoyed leading Collective worship on thankfulness and Christmas with G (my puppet). I have also taken several 'sensory nativity' story sessions for KS1, EYFS and SEND classes.
It has been amazing to be part of these times and I have been encouraged by the children's knowledge of the Bible and the questions they have asked".

Chloe has had fun the last few weeks doing her Christmas Collective Worship. She used a 'Christmas Puzzle' with pictures of exciting things to do with Christmas. However, the puzzle didn't fit together unless Jesus was at the centre of it. We remembered the reason Christians celebrate Christmas and sang a song about what happened that very first Christmas.

Chloe and Hannah have started handing out Christmas gifts to the children in school (as we might not see them again before Christmas).
Perhaps you've seen these books before?
'The Night before Christmas' for the 4-7's and 'Diary of a Disciple' for 8-11's.

Chloe spent the last half term sharing the story of The Good Samaritan using her story box where she pulls out pictures in the story and the children have to tell her what it is/says.

Of course, it wouldn't be right to finish her Collective Worship without a song too!

Chloe has been busy teaching year 5 & 6 Walk Through the Bible. This is a 5 week R.E programme for upper KS2 giving them a 'walk through' of the Old Testament or the New Testament.

1st September shouts 3 words to us, 'BACK TO SCHOOL'.
MAST are so looking forward to coming back into the schools to seeing everyone and teach them about the Christian Faith!

We will be praying for all the teachers, staff and children as they return back to school. If this is you, then we hope you are feeling refreshed and ready for new academic year.
We are so excited to meet a new year group starting in reception and will pray they settle in well.
We will also be thinking of the new year 7's starting secondary school who we've had the privilege of teaching over the last 7 years that they settle in and make new friends quickly.

Please join us as we pray for the schools, children and staff in the Matlock Area (and beyond!).

We hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

Hannah and Chloe have been busy preparing for camps so please pray for the camps and holiday clubs coming up in the next couple of weeks!

We are already starting to plan the next half term and although we are enjoying time with family over the holidays, we are also looking forward to visiting schools again soon!

Great afternoon doing Walk Through the Bible with the year 5's at Brimington Junior School.

We had a lovely time on our prayer walk today. Praying for the schools around the Darley Dale area.
We even had the joy of seeing lots of the year 6's from many of the schools we visit (after their hard working week of SATS), having a great sports/activity day at Whitworth Park.

Well done for your hard work Year 6's.
