PENTECOST 2026

At this point the Church was born. The disciples became the torchbearers of God’s message and God’s power.

This is the moment they went from being just disciples to becoming apostles. The word apostle (from the Greek apostolos) literally means "one who is sent" or a "messenger."

So each of the disciples, inspired and expressing themselves in their own unique way, become the Church.

They become like seeds of a dandelion and are blown and scattered out into the world where they took the truth of the Gospel to other lands and across the globe.

So Pentecost is the point where personal faith that keeps us supported and helps us to mature spiritually, becomes birthed into something else. It's the call to take God's truth, that you have in your private prayers, out into the world.
