May I thank everyone especially the children who were involved in today's Nativity service. It was a wonderful service brining home the meaning of Christmas. A big thank you also to those people who helped organise the service.

We are delighted to be open this coming Saturday the 9th December for our Christmas Coffee Morning with a very special guest, Santa Claus. We will be open from 10am until 12.00.
Come and meet Santa, there will be Tombola and a Raffle and Wendy will be selling jams and pickles for Help the Hero's.
There will be coffee and mince pies for all so come and enjoy some festive fun and good company.

Can I thank everything who made today such a fantastic success. We exceeded all expectations in taking over £500 for the East Midlands Dog Rescue, they will be so grateful for the much needed funds.
May I also thank Margaret and Wendy who worked so hard in organising the event. A heart felt thank you.

On Saturday the 25 of November at Markfield Community Congressional Church Main Street Markfield from 10.00am to 12.00 we are holding a coffee morning on behalf of East Midlands Dog Rescue.
We will have attractions such as Tombola, Raffle, Jams and Pickles, Books etc. Many new items just right for those Christmas presents.
Enjoy a cup of coffee and biscuits in good company and help us raise the much needed funds for this local charity.

Tomorrow Saturday the 28th October we have our autumn coffee morning. The coffee morning is raising funds for Christian Aid, Help for Heros and the Air Ambulance. There will be a variety of stalls, tombola, raffle and home made jams and pickles. Come and enjoy coffee and biscuits and as ever good company. Will you help us to raise funds for these very worthy charities.
We open the doors at 10.00 am untill 12.00am so see you at Markfield Congregational Community Church, Main Street, Markfield.

Well what a wet weekend. Can I thank everyone who attended the Barbeque and Beetle Drive yesterday. I didn't know a Beetle Drive could be so competitive.
I'm delighted to say we have a few more events planned for everybody in the near future.
Saturday 29 July it's the kids movie morning with free popcorn and refreshments. The film starts at 10.30 with a Disney classic. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All welcome come and enjoy.
There are two further dates planned.
Saturday 12 August and the 26 August films to be announced.
Look forward to seeing you all.

We will open the church on Monday 19th from 10.30 for the Queen's funeral.
It will give everyone the opportunity to watch this sad event in the company of others. Please don't be on your own. The funeral will be screened on a large screen and in comfort.
Refreshments will be provided and the Rev. Dr. Rob Hunter will be present.

Can I remind every one that the Table Top Sale and Coffee Morning will still take place tomorrow Saturday 10th.
It will be a chance for you reflect on the sad loss of the Queen and meet with the Reverend Doctor Hunter.
The doors will open at 10.00am.

Can I thank everyone for there support for the table top sale, I am delighted to say all the tables are now taken.
So if you want to grab a bargain come in and have a look.
The sale opens at 10.00am until 12.30 on the 10 Sept and entry is free.
Tea and coffee will also be available.
Markfield Congregational Church is on Main Street Markfield, near the fish and chip shop.

I'm delighted to announce the forth coming events, a really packed programme for all to enjoy. We start with.

Saturday 16 July. Pie and chips quiz evening and raffle. Come and test the grey matter. Start time 5.30 for 6.00pm. If you would like to join us you have a choice of pies and a vegetarian option or even fish. Don't forget to bring your own drinks. There is no charge for this event, donations are always gratefully accepted. Places are limited so booking is essential, places are going fast. Saturday 20 August, eyes down looking for Barbecue and Bingo start time 5.00pm. Come and enjoy a game of bingo and a chance to win. Again places are limited so if you are up for a bit of fun p!ease phone Angela on the above number. There will be no charge for this event but any donations are gratefully accepted.
