Now nearing its 50th anniversary, it prides itself as being a global resource for Muslims and non-Muslims who wish to learn about the contribution Islam and Muslims can make in the modern world.

The Islamic Foundation was honoured to host the Inaugural Khurshid Ahmad Memorial Lecture on 18th of April 2026, bringing together academics, policymakers, and members of civil society.

We are especially grateful to Professor John L. Esposito (Georgetown University) for delivering the keynote lecture and offering thoughtful reflections on the enduring relevance of Professor Khurshid Ahmad’s contributions to Islamic Studies, especially in the fields of Islamic economics, political economy, and social justice.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the inaugural lecture a success.

Eid ul Adha 2026 Announcement
We are pleased to announce that Eid ul Adha 2026 prayers will be held at Markfield Mosque. Eid will be celebrated on Wednesday 27th May 2026.

As we eagerly anticipate the joyous occasion of Eid, The Islamic Foundation invites you to join us in our celebrations. We are excited to gather as a community to mark this blessed event and offer our prayers together.

EID PRAYERS
Prayers will be conducted outdoors at Markfield Mosque. We have arranged the following three prayer (Jama’at) times:

• 8:30 AM
• 9:45 AM
• 10:30 AM

Please bring your Musalla (prayer mats), as we will be praying all three Eid Jamaats outdoors.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ العَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ فِيهِنَّ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ الأَيَّامِ العَشْرِ"
“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
