Join us for our next fund raising concert on Friday 11th September.
We welcome A Choired Taste and Newport (Shropshire) Male Voice Choir (.facebook.com/groups/3249271568735575/) to St Mary's. They will perform an eclectic mix of traditional songs, a capella songs, songs from the musicals and pop songs. The grand finale is a joint medley of songs from Les Miserables. All proceeds for the church organ fund. See poster for more details.

Following our contemplative 9am Book of Common Prayer Communion service on Sunday is our 10.30am Communion with some rousing hymns and thoughtful songs.
Everyone is welcome to come and join us at either service.
Catherine will be speaking on the readings from Isaiah 55 and Matthew 14.

No Messy Church in August. We're back 3.30pm on 1st September.
Last month we had a lovely session about salt and light, and made lanterns. Catherine had great success with an experiment with an egg!

We had a wonderfully uplifting service yesterday with flag waving and creative activities by the children and we learnt about how the Holy Spirit can empower us. The sermon is on our website as usual. Next week join us for Holy Communion.

Did you know a little can go a long way?
In our Messy Church in June, we did an interactive drama skit/ painting the 'burning' bush and a science experiment to show how one person who stands out for what is right can change the world. Moses did that in a BIG way.
In our coming Messy Church on 7th July (3.30 - 5.15pm), we are using lots of bright and engaging ways to show how a LITTLE of something good goes a long way. You are warmly invited, with your child/children to explore with us something amazing that we can all take part in that will make all the difference to the world around us.

Ordination of Deacons Saturday 27 June 2026

We pray for Laurina, who was ordained deacon on Saturday, and for her family, Mike, Molly & Patrick, as they move to her new parish where she will serve as curate. May God continue to bless and be with them all in her new role as His servant at Smestow Vale.

If you are finding it rather hot this week, find a cool oasis at St Mary's Market Drayton.
Our ancient church remains pleasantly cool during periods of hot weather, providing a peaceful place to sit, rest, reflect, pray, or simply take a few moments away from the heat.
We are open every Wednesday and Saturday between 11am and 1pm. This market day, our vicar, Catherine, is going to be in church and would love to talk to you and/or pray with you.
