Prayers this week for some of the mission organisation whom we support both locally and around the world. 🌍

BMS World Mission.
Everywhere BMS World Mission works,
they see a blight of gender injustice on the lives of countless women.
All BMS partners are committed to seek gender justice across the globe.

This week, pray for Uganda.
Pray that Uganda’s recently elected government will promote national stability & freedom & they will set a positive example for democratic engagement in the region.
Ask for guidance for Uganda Christian Lawyers’ Fraternity (UCLF)’s plan to ensure lasting justice for women & girls.
Pray for support & unity among its leaders, staff & members as they advance justice.
Give thanks for the achievements of BMS workers in Gulu, who provide legal help & training for schools & parents.

Tear Fund.
This week, we are asked to pray particularly for the Ebola crisis sweeping through DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo.)
Cases have already been reported in Uganda & neighbouring countries are at high risk. As of 26th May There have been 220 deaths & more than 900 suspected cases.
There are no known treatments or vaccines for this particular strain & those living in poverty or forced to flee their homes because of with armed conflict are at enormous & increasing risk.
Tearfund’s Country Director for DRC sent this message,
’ We can waste no time in mobilising faith leaders to prevent the spread of Ebola. Pastors are already spreading vital advice on washing hands, seeking medical help at the first sign of symptoms, and issuing guidelines on how to handle dead bodies, to curb the spread of disease.’ Thank you

What’s happening in Kairos??
We as a church need to discuss this, so On Wednesday 3rd June we are holding an open discussion evening (7.30pm) for all those linked to our church, to discuss the future options for Kairos and the Community Space,
ideas,
changes,
finance,
facilities.
Come along & be involved & offer your thoughts & suggestions

Some of our Members or just those in our congregation or family circle need prayer. We would ask that you remember those in need, and for those you know, and spend some time in prayer.

Don’t normally post these things, but just been to see this tonight and it was amazing and definitely worth a trip, it’s only at Holy Trinity Church Clifftonville it’s on tomorrow Friday, and Saturday

Obviously the star of the show (I have a personal connection here 😂😂) is missing from these shows as he is away, but if you can, go see it

Prayers this week for some of the mission organisation whom we support both locally and around the world. 🌍

MAF.
This week pray for the work in Kenya & Tanzania.
Praise God for the gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Please pray that He will guide churches throughout Kenya and Tanzania so that remote communities will discover God’s unfailing love for them.
Please pray for the growth of MAF’s East Africa Hub which aims to raise and equip African missionaries.
Pray that MAF will become widely known across the whole of Africa and that people will answer God’s calling upon their lives. In parts of Tanzania the transport networks are underdeveloped.
Please pray for good opportunities to extend MAF’s operations to these areas.
Please pray for the safety of mothers and their unborn children in places where medical facilities and equipment remain limited.

London City Mission.
This week pray for Rob and other LCM missionaries as they have been training Christians in areas of Croydon to reach their local communities with the gospel.
Give thanks for Addiscombe Baptist Church in Croydon and their desire to reach their ethnically diverse community with the gospel. Please pray for wisdom and fruitfulness as they explore training opportunities, and that this could grow into a lasting and God honouring partnership with LCM.
At the New Addington Carnival on 13th June, pray the outdoor church service run by the local Baptist church is clear and gospel centred, leading to many conversations about Jesus.
Ask that the new Pastor’s leadership helps churches unite around a shared vision to see people come to faith.
