Eileen, Harry, Canon Mark and Revd Sean look forward to welcoming you for a sit down in some shade at today’s Manea gala. We are beside the Main Ring backing on to the Fun Fair.

Come and see us if you’re thinking about baptism or confirmation, or wish to ask questions about faith, or you would like a prayer for you, a loved one, or for anything that’s on your heart.

We had the most adorable pets in St Nicolas for our Pet Service this morning.

It was wonderful for us to hear how 7-month old Homer is getting on with his Guide Dog development from the fabulous Myriam who has now raised 35 (yes, 35!) pups for the charity.

We had a very welcome cool breeze through the church, and all the pets were good as gold.

Here are pictures of some of the pets who came to the service 🐾

PET SERVICE UPDATE

Hello friends. The forecast is showing reduced temperatures on Sunday, from the high 30s over these coming days, to lower 20s on Sunday.

Due to the drop in temperature, and the church being one of the coolest places in the village (our thick stone walls makes it lovely and cool in summer), we will still be going ahead.

We, of course, would encourage you to do what is right for you; no pressure to get to the church if you don’t feel it’s right for you. The safety of both parishioners and pets is our priority.

We will have water bowls in the church. And of course, please take steps to ensure pets get to and from the church safely; we fully appreciate and understand, and there is no pressure.

If you wish to come, the service is 10.30am this Sunday, 28 June.

Take care of yourselves, and your furry friends, and each other 🐾

So lovely to see so many of you come to Wild Church and the annual Easter Trail today.

Enjoy growing your sunflowers 🌻 remember to water them and put them in sunlight! 🌱

Our thanks to Manea Parish Council for letting us use the community orchard as our base today.

And thanks for all the volunteers who helped marshall, be at the church, make sandwiches and cakes, donated prizes for the raffle, made refreshments, and contributed in any way.

A reminder there is family Breakfast Church at Wimblington at 9.30am on Easter Day, and Manea teams up with Christchurch tomorrow for Holy Communion at Christchurch Community Centre at 10.30am

Easter blessings to you all 🙏🏻

Watch now: a bit more information about Saturday’s Wild Church and Easter Trail in Manea. Excuse the blustery wind!

The trail ends in the Church Room where there will be squash, cake and sandwiches. Donations graciously received.

There will also be a raffle with some lovely prizes, plus some knitted Easter chicks and baskets for sale, too.

We hope you can join us.

A postcard from the Holy Land. Six Fen Churches ordinand Harry Mitchell leads us in praying the Stations of the Cross, accompanied by pictures of his travels to Jerusalem.

🗓️ Good Friday, 3 April
🕰️ 2pm
📍 Christchurch Community Centre
🥐 Hot Cross Buns after the service

This is a prayerful service that leads through the 14 stations of the Via Dolorosa, the 600 metre route Jesus carried his cross, on his journey to Golgotha where he was crucified.

Our prayers will be supported by Taize songs and photos from Harry’s pilgrimage of the Holy Land.

All very welcome for this service of prayer and reflection.
