✨ March Prayer & Praise Update – In Christ In Schools ✨
As we head out of the Easter break, here’s what God has been doing:
✔ Completed Bible Explorer at Farmilo Primary and St Peter’s C of E Academy
✔ Shared with Christian home‑educated students—their Bible knowledge is incredible!
✔ Preparing for the Summer Term at Abbey Hill (OT + NT) and Holgate Primary (both programmes)
🙏 Prayer Needed
We’re arranging meetings with Sutton Road, Forest Town, and Asquith Primary. Please pray for open doors, clear guidance, and favour—echoing the prayer of Jabez.
✝️ Easter Assemblies
Students engaged brilliantly as we explored honesty, forgiveness, Passover, and Jesus’ sacrifice.
April’s theme: “What Next?”—how people responded to the Resurrection.
Key question: Would you die for a lie?
Thank you for standing with us in prayer and giving. If your church would like to hear more, we’d love to visit.

🌱 Latest Update — In Christ In Schools
As we step into Spring Term 2, our diary remains wonderfully full, and the Summer term schedule is already beginning to take shape. God continues to open doors, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to share His story in our local schools.
We are currently presenting the Bible Explorer programme in Farmilo Primary, St Peter’s CofE Primary Academy, and Abbey Hill Primary in Kirkby.
A huge thank you for your prayers—especially for Abbey Hill. Their Year 5 group have been fully engaged this year. The class teacher has been incredibly supportive, which has made a real difference. We’re also delighted that Abbey Hill have now confirmed the New Testament programme for the summer term.
Our assemblies this term are pointing towards the Easter story, completing the journey we began after Christmas—culminating in the death and resurrection of Jesus, offering salvation to all and restoring our relationship with God through His Son’s ultimate sacrifice.
Question of the Month (from a thoughtful Year 6 pupil):
👉 “If the story of the Bible is true, why doesn’t everybody follow Jesus?”
Answers on a postcard… or an email if you’re not old school.
Please continue to pray for God’s favour, for lasting impact on these young lives, and for open doors in the two new schools we’re currently in conversation with.
Thank you for standing with us.

✨ January Ministry Update – A Wonderful Start to the New Year
We’re grateful to share that 2026 has begun with real momentum. Bible Explorer is now being delivered in 6 classes across 3 schools, and pupil engagement remains incredibly high. One teacher shared that a pupil—who had been off sick for a few days—was delighted to be back in school on Thursday because she “didn’t want to miss Bible Explorer.” Moments like this remind us why this work matters.
This term’s four assemblies have focused on the beauty of our God given differences and how we can celebrate both who we are and the transforming work God does in our lives. We’ve explored the stories and careers of Dr Francis Collins, Lee Strobel, Sir Isaac Newton, and the apostle Paul, each offering a unique perspective on faith, discovery, and change.
We would really value your continued prayers:
• For the class teachers resistant to our presence. We remain thankful that there are staff who are born again believers who continue to welcome us in.
• For renewed access to a local Primary, that doors would open and relationships would strengthen.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support, encouragement, and prayers. Your partnership makes this ministry possible, and we’re excited to see what God will continue to do in the months ahead.

As we approach the closing weeks of the year, we pause to give thanks to God for His countless blessings over the past 12 months.
It’s been a joy to see not only children but also teachers genuinely seeking answers to life’s big questions and their connection to theology.
Our final assemblies this term focused on Superheroes—helping children discover that Jesus is the true rescuer as we look forward to Advent and the celebration of Christmas.
Bible Explorer continues to be welcomed with excitement and anticipation! We’re thrilled that our diary is filling up for the new term with Farmilo Primary, Abbey Hill Primary, and St Peter’s C of E Primary Academy already confirmed for January.
Please join us in prayer as we seek new trustees to strengthen our leadership team and broaden our skill set.
Thank you for your continued support—through prayer, encouragement, and financial giving.
On behalf of the whole ICIS team, we pray abundant blessings for you and your loved ones this Christmas and New Year.

✨ In Christ In Schools Update – Autumn Term Highlights ✨
As we return from the half-term break, we’re thrilled to share how the first tranche of schools have embraced the Bible Explorer programme since the summer holidays. The feedback from headteachers and class teachers has been overwhelmingly positive 🙌
💬 Children (and staff!) have asked deep, thought-provoking questions that show real engagement with the subject matter. One class even sparked so many faith-centred discussions that we’ve added a 7th week just for them! It’s not only a win for the school and OFSTED, but more importantly, it’s a beautiful opportunity for children to explore the Christian faith and reflect on how it relates to their own developing worldview.
📖 Our assemblies this term will focus on The Messiah’s arrival 2000 years ago, using powerful comparisons of different ‘rescue’ scenarios to bring the message to life.
🙏 Please continue to pray for the schools we’ll be visiting up to Christmas:
• Abbey Hill (Kirkby)
• Holgate Primary (Hucknall)
And for the two schools in Forest Town still considering our offer for the new year:
• Forest Town Primary
• Newlands
Thank you for your continued support as we help children discover the richness of the Bible and the hope found in Christ.

🙏 Autumn Term Blessings 🙌
We’re so thankful to God for the incredible reception of Bible Explorer in the three schools we’ve been visiting this half term. The children’s enthusiasm has been truly inspiring—they’re not only engaging deeply with the teaching but also asking profound spiritual questions. One child asked, “Is su***de considered a sin by God?”—a reminder of the importance and depth of these conversations.
Our assembly theme has focused on “Giving our burdens to God” (Psalm 55:22), and we’ve had some joyful moments experimenting with balancing beach balls using everything from hairdryers to leaf blowers—fun with a purpose!
Due to the volume of questions and interest, we’re extending our time in all three schools by an extra week after the October half term. This means the Bible Explorer programme will be slightly delayed—but what a wonderful reason to adjust our plans!
🙏 Please continue to pray for the trustees of ICIS as they seek to appoint new members who can bring wisdom and experience to help the charity grow. We trust that the right people will be led to us.
Thank you again for your ongoing support—both in prayer and financially. We couldn’t do this without you!

📣 Grateful Beyond Words! 🙌
We thank God for His incredible faithfulness! Our diary is now fully booked through to the end of 2025, and availability is already becoming limited for the first quarter of 2026. It's humbling to see so many schools choosing to continue their journey with In Christ In Schools, inviting us back to share the Gospel and minister to their students.
Every booking is a testimony of God's work in hearts and hallways. We’re excited, expectant, and deeply honoured to walk alongside these communities in faith.
If your school is considering partnering with us in 2026, we encourage you to reach out soon—spaces are filling fast!

Well, what a first half term we've been blessed to be a part of. We've completed 6 Bible Explorer sessions in local primary schools, assemblies to welcome the new academic year and met invitations to lead school Harvest celebrations. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support both individual and collectively as Church congregations. Children are actively seeking out answers to questions of faith and the spiritual side of our existence. Pray that our Father gives us the discernment and knowledge to connect with these children in such a tangible way that continually opens up their minds and hearts to the Christian faith.
Rememeber our AGM this coming Sunday at Calvary Mansfield (1.15pm to 2.30pm), when we will be reviewing our work from the previous 12 months and I'm reliably informed that Alwyn and Chris (tingle) have agreed to come and share some thoughts with us.
