Our Qiyam Night for brothers aged 11–15 is happening this Saturday! 🙌

A full night at the Masjid with activities, food, a beneficial talk and Qiyam — finishing the night together with worship before Fajr.

🌘 *SOLAR ECLIPSE PRAYER AT THE MASJID - 6:40PM*

This may be a _once-in-a-lifetime opportunity_: if the local astronomical forecast has been confirmed, another comparable solar eclipse will not be visible in our area until *2090*. For many of us, this may therefore be our _last opportunity_ to perform the Eclipse Prayer.

A solar eclipse is one of Allah’s signs and a time to turn to Him with prayer, duʿā’, remembrance, seeking forgiveness, and charity. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ، لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَادْعُوا اللهَ وَصَلُّوا حَتَّى يَنْجَلِيَ

“The sun and moon are two signs among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of anyone’s death or birth. When you see them, call upon Allah and pray until the eclipse has cleared.” - Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim

🕌 The Eclipse Prayer will be held at 6:40, while the eclipse is still in progress, followed by a short reminder and then Asr salah. Please arrive at 6:30, so that the Salah can begin on time.

Assalamu Alaykum,

We’re excited to be holding a special Qiyam Night for our younger brothers at Madina Masjid!

From 10PM all the way until Fajr, the night will be packed with activities, games, food and time spent together — alongside a beneficial talk and the opportunity to end the night standing together in Qiyam. 🌙

A chance to enjoy a great night with friends while also building a stronger connection with the Masjid and our deen.
