Our main aim is to serve both Muslims and non-Muslims on campus, regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, age, gender, or sect, by adhering to the Qur’an and Sunnah. The ISoc is primarily an Islamic service with the fundamental purpose of fulfilling the needs of Muslim's among students, and the local community, in addition to promoting the ideals of Islam to non-Muslims in the university. Alham
dulillah, we are a diverse group, and anyone is welcome to join. We are a non-political society, officially affiliated with the Univeristy of Salford Student Union. A selection of our aims include:
To serve Allah
To protect the interests of all Muslim students on campus
To provide a prayer facility on campus which hosts the 5 daily prayers, Jummah prayers, Eid prayers, as well as taraweeh during Ramadan
To organise regular events, socials and classes
To provide members with ISoc departmental opportunities, in order to develop and apply their skills
The ISoc holds a number of events throughout the year with the intent of fulfilling the aforementioned aims. Remember - work hard, pray hard!
