# # What Is Israa wal Mi‘raj?

**Israa wal Mi‘raj** is one of the greatest miracles of Prophet **Muhammad ﷺ**. It was a **night journey** and **ascension** that Allah granted him in a single night.

* **Israa**: The journey from **Makkah to Jerusalem**
* **Mi‘raj**: The journey from **Jerusalem to the heavens**

This event is mentioned in the **Qur’an** and **Hadith**.

---

# # When Did It Happen?

Most scholars say it happened:

* About **10–11 years after Prophethood**
* During the **Year of Sorrow**, when:

* The Prophet’s wife **Khadijah (RA)** had passed away
* His uncle **Abu Talib** had passed away
* He faced severe rejection and hardship

Allah honored the Prophet ﷺ at a time of deep sadness.

---

# # Part 1: Israa (The Night Journey)

# # # From Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa

One night, **Angel Jibreel (AS)** came to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while he was in **Makkah**.

1. **The Prophet’s chest was opened**

* His heart was washed with **Zamzam water**
* Filled with **faith and wisdom**
* This was to prepare him for the journey

2. **The Buraq**

* A special white animal, faster than lightning
* Larger than a donkey, smaller than a horse
* Each step reached the horizon

3. **The Journey**

* The Prophet ﷺ traveled from:

* **Masjid al-Haram (Makkah)**
* to **Masjid al-Aqsa (Jerusalem)**
* This entire journey happened **in one night**

4. **At Masjid al-Aqsa**

* All previous prophets were gathered
* Prophet Muhammad ﷺ **led them in prayer**
* This showed his status as the **leader of all prophets**

Allah mentions this in the Qur’an:

> *“Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa…”*
> **(Surah Al-Isra 17:1)**

---

# # Part 2: Mi‘raj (The Ascension to the Heavens)

From Jerusalem, the Prophet ﷺ ascended through the **seven heavens** with Angel Jibreel.

# # # The Seven Heavens

1. **First Heaven**

* Met **Prophet Adam (AS)**
* Saw the souls of the righteous and wicked

2. **Second Heaven**

* Met **Prophet Isa (Jesus AS)** and **Prophet Yahya (John AS)**

3. **Third Heaven**

* Met **Prophet Yusuf (AS)**, blessed with great beauty

4. **Fourth Heaven**

* Met **Prophet Idris (AS)**

5. **Fifth Heaven**

* Met **Prophet Harun (AS)**

6. **Sixth Heaven**

* Met **Prophet Musa (AS)**
* Musa (AS) later plays a key role regarding prayer

7. **Seventh Heaven**

* Met **Prophet Ibrahim (AS)**
* Leaning against **Al-Bayt al-Ma‘mur**, the heavenly Ka‘bah

---

# # Sidrat al-Muntaha (The Lote Tree)

* Beyond the seventh heaven is **Sidrat al-Muntaha**
* A boundary no creation may pass—**except the Prophet ﷺ**
* Jibreel (AS) stopped here and said:

> “If I go beyond this, I will be burned.”

The Prophet ﷺ continued **alone**.

---

# # The Greatest Gift: Salah (Prayer)

At this point, Allah directly commanded:

* **50 daily prayers** for the Muslim Ummah

On the return:

* Prophet Musa (AS) advised him to ask for a reduction
* The Prophet ﷺ returned multiple times
* Finally reduced to **5 daily prayers**

Allah said:

> “They are five, but they carry the reward of fifty.”

👉 **Salah is the only act of worship given directly by Allah, without Jibreel.**

---

# # Other Things the Prophet ﷺ Saw

* **Paradise (Jannah)** and its blessings
* **Hellfire (Jahannam)** and its punishments
* People punished for sins such as:

* Backbiting
* Adultery
* Consuming riba (interest)
* Rewards for the righteous

---

# # Return to Makkah

By morning, the Prophet ﷺ was back in Makkah.

When he told the people:

* Many **mocked him**
* Some **left Islam**
* **Abu Bakr (RA)** believed immediately and said:

> “If he said it, then it is true.”
* He was given the title **As-Siddiq** (The Truthful)

The Quraysh questioned the Prophet ﷺ about Masjid al-Aqsa:

* Allah showed it to him clearly
* He described it accurately

---

# # Lessons from Israa wal Mi‘raj

1. **Allah honors His Prophet after hardship**
2. **Prayer is central to Islam**
3. **The Prophet ﷺ is the leader of all prophets**
4. **Faith requires trust even beyond human logic**
5. **Masjid al-Aqsa is sacred in Islam**

---

If you want, I can also:

* Make a **short version**
* Explain it **for kids**
* Share **lessons in bullet points**
* Explain **why prayer is so important**
* Or provide **authentic Hadith references**

Just tell me 😊

🇶🇦 Prince Who Abandoned His Crown for the Path of Dawah — The Astonishing Life of Sheikh Hamad bin Fahad of Qatar”

---

💠 From the Royal Palace to the Mosque Doorstep

Qatar — a land overflowing with wealth, where every palace gleams and every prince carries the mark of royal power.
Among them was one man — once a general in the army and declared heir to the throne — who one day chose to renounce his royal crown.

His name: Sheikh Hamad bin Fahad bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani.
In a world where ruling a kingdom is everyone’s dream, he found peace only in walking the path of Allah.

---

🌾 A Prince Transformed by the Fragrance of Tabligh

While studying at a military university in the United States, Sheikh Hamad met some members of Tabligh Jamaat.
What began as curiosity turned into deep reflection — and eventually a complete transformation of the heart.

> “Royalty does not make a man great — Deen sets him free.” — Sheikh Hamad

He started with small visits and soon became devoted to the work of Dawah.
Leaving behind the life of command and prestige, he immersed himself in the humble effort of calling people to Allah — until even the throne could no longer attract him.

---

⚔️ The Throne Exchanged for the Stage of Dawah

By royal tradition, the crown prince becomes the next Amir.
Sheikh Hamad was the rightful heir — but he voluntarily gave up the throne for his younger brother, Sheikh Tamim, who is now the Emir of Qatar.

> “A throne is guarded by security, and people can’t approach. But my work is to go door to door.” — Sheikh Hamad, in an interview

He even declined the post of Minister of Religion.
He desired a life with no barriers, no protocols — only people and the call of faith.

---

🕌 Sleeping on the Ground During Tabligh Journeys

His first major journey was a four-month Chilla across India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
He was seen as a simple Da’ee in places like Dhaka, Bhola, Teknaf, Chapainawabganj, and Mymensingh.

One companion said:

> “He never wanted to sit with the wealthy. Instead, he would visit rickshaw pullers, farmers, and laborers. Holding their hands, he would say: ‘Come, brother, let us return to Allah.’”

---

🛂 A Prince with an Ordinary Passport

Sheikh Hamad had two passports — one royal and one ordinary.
For Dawah journeys, he always used the ordinary one, so no one would recognize him or treat him differently.

Even while staying in Bangladesh, the Qatari Embassy had no idea that their own crown prince was in Dhaka’s Kakrail Mosque!

---

🌍 A Da’ee’s Journey Across Continents

Today, he continues his quiet efforts across Africa, Europe, and America.
He has spent years in Africa, spreading the message of Islam — fluent in Arabic, English, French, German, and Urdu, speaking to people in the universal language of humility and love.

---

🕋 Defender of Tabligh’s Freedom

In many Arab countries, Tabligh Jamaat faces restrictions.
But in Qatar, mosque-based Tabligh work is still permitted — largely due to Sheikh Hamad’s influence.

It is said that when the Saudi King once asked Qatar to limit Tabligh activities, the Emir replied:

> “We know this Jamaat reforms people’s character. I will not stop them.”

---

🌺 Royal Renunciation, Spiritual Attainment

He left the palace but found nearness to Allah.
Once he led military parades — now he prays shoulder to shoulder with common worshippers on the mosque floor.

His life mirrors that of Ibrahim ibn Adham (Rahimahullah) — the King of Balkh who abandoned his throne for Allah’s path.
Sheikh Hamad bin Fahad stands as a modern echo of that legacy.

---

🌙 Final Message of Inspiration

In this world, kingship means power, luxury, and pride.
But one prince proved that true honor lies in humility, and the greatest throne is the ground of prostration.

> “I did not lose my kingdom — I gained an eternal one.” — Sheikh Hamad bin Fahad

Let us tell this story to our children —
the story that teaches:
The one who walks in the path of Allah is the true king.
