☕💚 *Khizra Mosque Sisters Raise £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support!*

Alhamdulillah, a wonderful turnout at today’s Macmillan Coffee Morning, organised by the Khizra Mosque Sisters Team.

It was heartwarming to see so many women from our local community coming together in support of such a worthy cause, helping to raise an incredible £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

🌸 A huge thank you and well done to our dedicated Sisters Team for their hard work, commitment and efforts in organising such a successful event.

We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, donated, contributed food, volunteered or supported the event in any way.

Your generosity and kindness will help Macmillan continue its vital work supporting people affected by cancer and their families.

May Allah (SWT) reward everyone involved for their generosity and efforts. Ameen.

*Supporting Families Through the Khizra iCare Food Hub*

Alhamdulillah, our latest Khizra iCare Food Hub distribution took place at Khizra Mosque, Manchester, supporting local families and individuals in need.

This month, 4 households were provided with approximately one month’s supply of food, tailored to each household’s needs. This included essential dry goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, and dairy products.

Our support is not only about providing food. Volunteers took time to welcome and talk with each family, listen to them and offer refreshments, helping ensure that everyone was treated with care, kindness and dignity.

One family came for the first time, they were really happy and impressed and asked if they could volunteer too for the mosque.

Jazakallah khairun.

*Local School Supports Khizra Mosque’s Food Bank*

A heartfelt thank you to Crumpsall Primary School for its generous food donation to Khizra Mosque’s Needy Family Food Bank Project.

We are grateful to the children, parents and carers who contributed so thoughtfully, and to the school staff for organising the collection. Your kindness will help support local individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.

This donation is a wonderful example of how schools and community organisations can work together to care for our neighbours. It also gives children an opportunity to put compassion into action and see the difference their contributions can make.

Jazakum Allahu khairan to our dedicated volunteers, who sort, organise and distribute donations with care, helping us support families with dignity and respect.

Thank you to everyone involved for bringing kindness and practical support to our community.

*Khizra Youth Sisters presents: The Next Chapter*

We’re starting a new monthly book club for sisters aged 16+ inshaAllah.

The idea is simple: we choose one book each month, read it beforehand, then come together to discuss it — sharing reflections, thoughts, questions and anything that stood out to us.

Our first meeting will be *Wednesday 4th November after Isha Jama'ah* , and our first read is *Communicating with Allah by Bassam Saeh.*

The book is available from Khizra Bookshop, so make sure to pick up a copy and get reading before the first session.
