Thirteen years.

Thatโ€™s how long Joseph waited between the dream and the throne. Sold by his brothers at seventeen. Falsely accused. Forgotten by the one person who could have helped him.

Every circumstance said the dream was a lie.

But the waiting room isnโ€™t empty. Joseph didnโ€™t just survive the hallway, he worked in it. He served Potipharโ€™s household with excellence. He managed the prison responsibly. He interpreted dreams for others even when no one remembered him.

The dream didnโ€™t die in the delay. It was built there.

You can quote Scripture perfectly, and still miss God entirely.
The Pharisees did.

Why? Because words without heart alignment are just noise.
Before you speak (or post, or preach), ask:

And before you react, ask:
โ€œ๐‘Šโ„Ž๐‘Ž๐‘ก ๐‘š๐‘–๐‘”โ„Ž๐‘ก ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’๐‘ฆ ๐‘Ÿ๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘™๐‘™๐‘ฆ ๐‘š๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘›?โ€

Clarity begins not with better vocabulary,

Fasting Isnโ€™t for the โ€œSpiritual.โ€
Itโ€™s for the Ones Who Are Tired of Pretending

Youโ€™ve done the quiet time. Read the plans. Said the prayers.
But your soul still feels distant. Numb.

When someone says โ€œjust fast,โ€ you think:
โ€œRight. Like I have 30 days.
Or like Godโ€™s even listening to someone like me.โ€

Hereโ€™s the truth no one names:
Fasting was never for the perfect.
It was for the hungry, for people too exhausted to fake it anymore.

Jesus didnโ€™t say โ€œfast if youโ€™re ready.โ€
He said โ€œwhen you fastโ€, as if it were as ordinary as breathing.
Not to earn Godโ€™s attention.
But because youโ€™re already held.

Isaiah 58 redefines it completely:
โ€œIs not this the fast I choose:
to loose the chains of injustice,
to share your food with the hungryโ€ฆโ€

Fasting isnโ€™t about what you give up.
Itโ€™s about what you make space for:
A breath instead of a scroll.
A question instead of noise.
One honest whisper: โ€œIโ€™m tired. Are you there?โ€

So forget 30 days.
Try this today:
5:30 to 5:45 p.m.โ€”no screen.
Just sit. Breathe. Ask:
โ€œWhatโ€™s really going on in me?โ€

You wonโ€™t hear thunder.
But you might notice the quiet voice youโ€™ve been drowning out.

And thatโ€™s where real life begins.
