Why Give to your church?

“All I have needed; your hands have provided.”

As Christians, we recognise that everything we have is a gift from God.
He has given us this world to discover, explore and cherish. With this gift comes the responsibility and honour of stewardship. God asks us to respond to His generosity with a grateful heart and to follow the example of Jesus in our service to one another and the world.

Here at St Crispin’s, we encourage everyone to see Christian stewardship not simply a means of raising funds, but as a response to God’s call on our lives to make a difference. We do, however, have a very real financial need and money received helps us to:

pay our bills of gas, electricity, insurance, etc., just as you do at home.
meet our Parish Share, which covers the cost of your parish priest.
maintain and develop our building and grounds.
respond to the needs of our community and world through charitable collections throughout the year.

Some people can give more than others. The important thing is the principle of commitment to giving.
There are some special events throughout the years which are designed to raise funds and are an opportunity to serve through giving of your time and talents. Sadly, this year Coronavirus has had a major impact on raising funds and therefore we need to rely upon your generosity.

Please prayerfully consider how you can give, and help us make a difference so that when we are back we can be strong enough to help our community.

Ways in which you can give to St Crispin’s Church

Most people in the past have given collection during our Sunday service. This is now no longer possible.

Standing Orders are an ideal way of regularly giving and sustaining our parish work. (See details below).

When we are back in church support us physically by joining in worship or helping with our projects either in our garden or maintaining the building or helping with our fundraising events. If you are skilled with developing a Sunday school, choir etc. provided Safe Guarding is ensured you too can help us grow.
Remember us in your legacy.

Pray for our work here.

Father God,
We thank You that we can come together in this Church, to worship You, to enjoy friendships, to care for one another in times of joy and in times of sadness.

We pray for Your blessing in all that we do and that the glory is Yours, for ever and ever. Amen.
