Guru Roop Pyari Sadhsangat Ji,
As you will be aware that places of worship were given permission to open from 13th june 2020 for individual private prayer following the government guidelines.
Our Sewadars have been working hard to ensure the Gurdwara Sahib complies to the guidelines and we are proud to announce that Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurdwara will be opening on Sunday 28th June 2020
from 10am - 2pm and only on Sundays until further notice.
Ardasa, membership, cash donation and Kemati can be given during these times. Food Donations are NOT permitted until further notice.
It is important that sangat do not attend the Gurdwara if you have coronavirus symptoms of a cough, cold, sore throat, loss of taste/smell, breathing difficulties, high temperature or if you have been told to shield or isolate at home.
Please observe the strict guidelines below and the instructions of the sewadars floor marking and visual notices displayed around the Gurdwara:
- Social distancing of 2 Meters will apply throughout the grounds and inside the Gurdwara.
- Due to the numbers of sangat that can be accommodated inside the Darbar Hall you may have to wait in a queue outside before entry is permitted.
- You MUST follow the instructions given by the sewadars to keep us all safe.
- When entering the gurdwara you MUST have your own face masks / covering, gloves & head covering.
- Once inside the Gurdwara you will be guided where to put your shoes, Wash or Sanitise your hands. (NOTE some parts of the Gurdwara will have no access)
- Once inside the Darbar hall, follow the signage to do Mahraj Darshan. Standing Namaskar is Preferred.
- Chaur Sahib sewa will NOT be allowed.
- Parkarma around the Palki will NOT be allowed.
- Access to the Sachkand Sahib will NOT be allowed.
- Due to the limited number of seating spaces only a few minutes is permitted in the Darbar hall. If a Sewadar asks you to leave you MUST do so.
- Dry Parshaad will be available on the exit of the Darbar hall.
- Sewadars and Signage will direct you to the exit route. Take your shoes and Wash or Sanitise your hands before exit into the car park.
Please note at present there will be no Langar, Live Kirtan or Toilet Facilities.
