Such a joy to celebrate the Feast of Creation in Christ this morning.

We remembered the creation of the universe; gave thanks and praise to God for His mighty act of creation; we acknowledged that we have neglected Christ's role in the mystery of creation; and that He continues to sustain the universe and hold it into being. We recalled that as God's stewards were are part of creation and that we have a responsibility to love the whole of creation as God loves it.

It was a lot to think about!

Such a privilege and pleasure to be invited to Heavenly Feast Church's Kerala Sadya this afternoon in the Parish Community Hall. This Kerala festival is a grand vegetarian feast traditionally served on a banana leaf. The dishes were amazing. Thank you so much for the invitation.

Sunday, 6th September is the next date for our used candles collection by Recycled Wax. If you can drop off your used candles at St Michael's during the week that would be a huge help. Thank you.

Just a reminder that we collect used candles for Recycled Wax. They will be collecting from us next Sunday.

If you have any used candles (altar, Paschal, Advent, Sanctuary or votive) you can drop them off at St Michael's during the week and they will all go to be recycled together.

Having celebrated the Eucharist together this morning we were delighted to support Upland Manor Care Home's summer faire this afternoon in aid of Francis House.

A group of us from the congregation enjoyed food 🍔, singing, alpacas🦙and other stalls. And the weather was just right.

Lovely to see Norma again with her new friends.
