Manchester Buddhist Centre is bring­ing an ancient tra­di­tion alive in the mod­ern world as part of the Tri­r­atna Buddhist Com­munity (formerly Friends of the West­ern Buddhist Order)

We have taught med­it­a­tion and Buddhism to

thou­sands of people from Greater Manchester and bey­ond. We are well known for our friendly and informal style of teach­ing, explor­ing what Buddhism can teach us in the mod­ern west

The Centre also houses Body­wise, Breath­works and Earth Cafe, provid­ing ser­vices that feed body and mind

Lokeshvara has been Chair of the Manchester Buddhist Centre for the last couple of years. His role involves helping to maintain a clear vision for the Centre within the wider context of Buddhism – and, of course, attending many meetings along the way!

Paranayaka and Jayadhi in conversation about the upcoming Newcomers Retreat, Mon 3rd Aug - Fri 7th Aug 🌿

On this retreat, attendees will be exploring the Karaniya Metta Sutta, one of the Buddha's most beloved teachings, offering guidance on cultivating loving-kindness, compassion, and goodwill towards all beings.
