Unreached People of the Day: 15th June 2026: Pray for Kumhar (Muslim traditions)
Global Population:4,105,000 Christian:0.00% Primary language:Punjabi, Western Primary religion: Islam

The word Kumhar means maker of pots. The people group is known by the same name of Kumar. Some of the group's products are made out of ceramic clay or glass. Some Kumhar work in cultivation. Sons inherit the property upon their father's death, with the oldest son typically taking charge of the family estate. The Kumhar observe adult marriages without permitting divorce.

Ministry Obstacles
Whether they live in Pakistan or India, Muslim Kumhar have few Christian followers living among them. It is doubtful they will ever hear the gospel without God intervening with his love.

Scripture Focus
Young men and maidens together, old men and children! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.
Psalm 148:12-13

Scripture Prayer
Pray for all generations from this people group to worship and praise the Lord.

Prayer Focus

Pray for deliverance from the fear that hinders the Kumhar from accepting God's blessing by challenging them to look beyond Islam. Pray for the Lord to multiply the reception and influence of his word among this people group, leading them to love him with their whole being. May the Kumhar be enriched and multiply as a result of choosing the gift of Jesus as their savior. Pray for God's blessings to shower upon the rising Christian leaders among the Kumhar. Pray for God's blessing to strengthen and heal families and communities within this people group.

Unreached People of the Day: 14th June 2026: Pray for Kusavar Kumhar (Hindu traditions)
Global Population:16,585,800 Christian:0.01% Primary language:Hindi Primary religion: Hinduism

They invented the wheel! So they say. The Kumhar believe themselves to be the first inventors of the wheel, while their name means "makers of earthen pottery." According to ancient Indian mythology, the Kumhar are the offspring of Lord Brahma (Prajapati). The Kumhar can be found throughout India, speaking the languages of the areas where they live. The Kumhars' livelihood is agriculture, animal husbandry, and earthen pottery, though it is very difficult for a Kumhar artisan to maintain his existence by pot-making. They are highly spiritual, honest, and hardworking. For the most part, Kumhar farmers work on land owned by higher castes. They are given a portion of the crops at harvest time.

Ministry Obstacles
It is difficult for any Hindu to understand that there is only one God and one way to true spirituality. This seems very narrow to them.

Scripture Focus
Let them praise the name of the LORD! For he commanded and they were created.
Psalm 148:5

Scripture Prayer
Pray that the gift of life will draw many from this people group to worshipping God only.

Prayer Focus

Pray for the Lord to perform miracles among the Kumhars that will show them that he alone is worthy. Pray for better schools for the Kumhar community. Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers to them in Bangladesh and India. Pray for a spiritual hunger among the Kumhars that will lead them to the cross and the empty grave. Pray for Kumhar disciples who will make more disciples.

Unreached People of the Day: 12th June 2026: Pray for Dzala
Global Population:17,000 Christian:0.00% Primary language:Dzalakha Primary religion: Buddhism

The Dzala inhabit the highlands along the upper course of the Kholongchu River in the Yangtse District. In 1995, Yangtse was granted administrative status as a fully-fledged district of Bhutan. It was previously a sub-district of Trashigang and is often referred to as Trashi-Yangtse. The Dzala language is also spoken as far west as the Kurichu River in Lhuntse District. The speakers of Dzala in Lhuntse, however, refer to themselves as the Khoma and to their language as Khomakha, Khomakha has been listed as a dialect of Dzala. The part of Bhutan inhabited by the Dzala is extremely poor. Many visitors say it is like stepping back to medieval times. Life is simple and slow-paced.

Ministry Obstacles
Tibetan Buddhism has been the spiritual stronghold of the Dzala for more than 1,300 years. Buddhism entered Bhutan from Tibet, and visits from lamas and monks from Tibet, India, and Nepal maintained and strengthened Buddhism here over the centuries. The Dzala view their identity and culture as inextricably linked to Buddhism. Someone would need to go to them with oral materials. There are a few, but enough to get the basic gospel message to the Dzala.

Scripture Focus
I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Psalm 146:2

Scripture Prayer
Pray for the Lord to raise up people from this people group with this kind of dedication to the Lord.

Prayer Focus

Pray for loving and dedicated workers to go to the Dzala until they have strong Christian believers among them. Pray for them to have the spiritual hunger to seek and find the only Savior. Pray for a soon-coming movement to Christ among the Dzala of Bhutan.

Unreached People of the Day: 11th June 2026: Pray for Khangar (Hindu traditions)
Global Population:344,000 Christian:0.00% Primary language:Hindi Primary religion: Hinduism

Khangar prefer to be called "Kshatriya Khangar." In past years, they immigrated from Bundelkhand to their present locations in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. They are considered a scheduled caste in certain states. This status gives them government jobs and reserved seats in the legislature, among other opportunities.

Ministry Obstacles
They worship family, clan, and regional gods and goddesses such as Balaji, Rama, and Shiva. They also believe in ancestor worship. They bring in sorcerers and witchdoctors called Bhopa, whom they think will rid them of evil spirits.

Scripture Focus
My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
Psalm 145:21

Scripture Prayer
Make this your prayer today!

Prayer Focus
As far as we know, there are no Christians in this Hindu community. They will need to hear the gospel from outsiders, whom they are less likely to trust than those who are also Khangar. Pray that God's Holy Spirit will liberate the Khangar from the many ties that bind them and false deities that weigh them down, causing them to live in fear. Pray that as they celebrate many Hindu festivals, the Holy Spirit of the one true God will enable them to celebrate His reconciliation – His full payment of the penalty for their sins. Much persistent prayer is needed for the many unreached people groups in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Please pray for committed bands of prayer warriors.

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:35 (KJV)

Love is the marker. Not how many verses you can quote or how many arguments you can win. lt's what people actually recognize. And it's what opens the door for the gospel to walk through.

09/06/2026

Unreached People of the Day: 9th June 2026: Pray for Nyaw
Global Population:102,000 Christian:0.82% Primary language:Nyaw Primary religion:Buddhism

Like the people around them, the Nyaws are known for their politeness, respect, and hospitality. Beginning at a very young age, they teach their children proper social behavior. They base this code of conduct on the principle of respecting those with higher rank. Social rank is organized based on age, occupation, and wealth. For example, they rank rural farmers below artisans, merchants, and city government officials. The family is their basic societal unit. The Tai Nyaw practice Theravada Buddhism, but have also maintained their original animist religion.

Ministry Obstacles
The single most important social institution in the village is the Buddhist temple. It symbolizes unity among the villagers and offers a diverse range of activities. Buddhism has a strong hold on this community.

Scripture Focus
The LORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.
Psalm 145:9

Scripture Prayer
Pray that many from this people group will understand that He is good to everyone, and His compassion has no end.

Prayer Focus

Pray for the Nyaw in Thailand to have open and receptive hearts, and that they would encounter the King of kings. Pray that movements to Christ would explode, as followers make followers, and that they would place their identity in Christ. Ask God to raise up prayer teams who will begin breaking up the spiritual soil through worship and intercession. Ask the Lord to bring forth a vigorous Nyaw church for the glory of his name.

08/06/2026

Unreached People of the Day: 8th June 2026: Pray for Koiri (Hindu traditions)
Global Population:8,607,100 Christian:0.05% Primary language:Hindi Primary religion:Hinduism

The Koiri believe they are the descendants of Kush, one of the twin sons of Lord Rama. They receive the services of a Brahmin priest, who officiates over their life-cycle rituals and religious ceremonies. The majority of the Koiri are engaged in their traditional occupation of agriculture. They have a good reputation as excellent farmers and have adopted modern farming methods, resulting in bountiful harvests. Some are now landowners.

Ministry Obstacles
Nominal Christians, whether in India or in the West, may have negatively influenced the Koiri's perception of what it means to be a follower of Christ. Hindu Koiris need to see living Christianity lived out before them.

Scripture Focus
They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness.
Psalm 145:6

Scripture Prayer
Thank Him for His awe-inspiring deeds!

Prayer Focus

Pray for God's blessing, strengthening, and healing of families and communities within the Koiri through the abundant life Jesus offers to all who call on his name. Pray they will increasingly hunger to know forgiveness for their sins and the new life offered through faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for bold workers to go to them and remain dedicated to seeing the Koiris discipled.
