Unreached People of the Day: 7th September 2026: Pray for Southern Pashtun
Global Population:9,807,000 Christian:0.02% Primary language:Pashto, Southern Primary religion:Islam

Southern Pashtuns live primarily in Afghanistan and Pakistan, with a significant diaspora in the Arab Gulf and many Western countries. In the Arab Gulf, they are most likely to migrate to the UAE. The UAE has had good relations with Afghanistan for many decades and has been taking in Afghan refugees since the days of the Soviet invasion in 1979. Many Pashtuns arrived with very little except business savvy, but have put it to good use. Pashtuns are involved in a variety of businesses, including restaurants, car rentals, shops, jewelry, and real estate.

Ministry Obstacles
Southern Pashtuns live in a solidly Islamic environment. Even those living in the West are usually surrounded by other Muslims who reinforce Islamic thinking. Although seeds of the gospel have been planted among the Pashtun, social and cultural barriers remain.

Scripture Focus
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:28

Scripture Prayer
Pray for believers in today’s people group to be courageous in their witness for Christ and fear God, not men.

Prayer Focus

Pray for accuracy in Bible translations in progress. Pray for more workers to serve among the Pashtun in the UAE—in education, business, healthcare, development, and other professional areas. Pray for God's Spirit to strengthen and protect new believers and empower them to be witnesses.

Unreached People of the Day: 6th September 2026: Pray for Southeast Pashtun
Global Population:4,279,000 Christian:0.01% Primary language:Pashto, Southern Primary religion:Islam

The Southeast Pashtun are part of the broader Pashtun tribal society, considered the largest Muslim tribal group in the world. More significant than dialectical differences, a Pashtun's primary loyalty is to his particular social group (tribe or sub-tribe). They will join with other Pashtun groups when it protects their interests but fight against the same groups to protect their own. Pashtuns look to their jingas, the assembly of leaders, as judges when there is a dispute.

Ministry Obstacles
A Pashtun is honor-bound to protect someone seeking asylum, even at great personal cost. At times this involves giving asylum to someone running from the law or offering help to one's own enemy. Pashtuns value justice and revenge. One might wait decades to take revenge on someone who wronged them or brought them shame. Bravery and loyalty are among the highest virtues of all Pashtun communities. One must be brave and willing to lay down one's life for one's honor and for one's community. Access and engagement remain extremely limited due to cultural, linguistic, and religious barriers.

Scripture Focus
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Matthew 7:15-16

Scripture Prayer
Pray that the Lord gives this people group the discernment to recognize false prophets and the grace to know the true Prophet, Priest and King, Jesus Christ.

Prayer Focus

Pray for Southeastern Pashtun leaders to hear from the Lord that "vengeance is mine, I will repay" instead of taking matters into their own hands. Pray for Christ to radically transform the Pashtun culture and worldview. Pray for the gospel to make its way into every Southeastern Pashtun family and village. Intercede for the emergence of indigenous believers who can share the gospel within their cultural context.

Always remember that you are royalty because you are the child of the Greatest King. Always remind yourself daily that YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD. With this revelation in mind, nothing can move you. Stay blessed.

Unreached People of the Day: 4th September 2026: Pray for Fanda
Global Population:22,000 Christian:0.00% Primary language:Nding Primary religion:Islam

The Fanda live in nine villages in Dilling County, located in the remote Nuba Mountains in the state of South Kordofan, Sudan. They speak Nding and Sudanese Arabic. They cultivate sorghum and corn and raise cattle, sheep, and goats. During and after the rainy season, the Fanda have special access to fresh cow's milk, which they drink hot, fresh off charcoal fires. They have no known schools or health facilities.

Ministry Obstacles
The Fanda are entirely Muslim. Few, if any, know a Christian in this country where Christians are considered enemies.

Scripture Focus
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:3

Scripture Prayer
Pray that this people group to recognize their own spiritual bankruptcy and come to Christ for the riches of His forgiveness.

Prayer Focus

Pray for the Lord to send dreams and visions of the Lord to Fanda family leaders. Pray for loving workers to be thrust out into each of the three Fanda villages. Pray that soon there will come a day when Fanda Christians will disciple others. Pray for them to encounter Christians who demonstrate the love and mercy of the Lord in practical ways.

Unreached People of the Day: 3rd September 2026: Pray for Yagnob
Global Population:33,000 Christian:0.00% Primary language:Tajik Primary religion:Islam

Picture a people group living in the cool of a mountain valley resettled by force in a hot lowland. The Yagnob, an ethnic minority in Tajikistan, suffered this move at the hands of the former Soviet Union. Red Army helicopters evacuated the population, and some Yagnobs died of shock in transit. Communist officials forced the Yagnobs into hard labor on the cotton plantations of the plains. The Soviet State officially abolished the Yagnobs' ethnicity. Through the change in climate and back-breaking work, several hundred Yagnobs died. Since 1983, families have begun to return to the Yagnob Valley.

Ministry Obstacles
The Yagnob are Sunni Muslims who believe that the supreme God, Allah, may determine their eternal salvation, but he is distant. They depend on the spirit world for daily needs.

Scripture Focus
The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.
Matthew 4:16

Scripture Prayer
Pray for this people group to see the light of Jesus Christ.

Prayer Focus

The Yagnobi language has no known Christian resources. Many of the Yagnob, especially the younger ones, speak the Tajiki language, which has many resources.

God Doesn’t Need You to Be Enough

Gideon looked at his army and thought, “Surely, this is not enough.” But God deliberately reduced his army not because He wanted Gideon to fail, but so that when victory came, no one could take the glory for themselves.

Sometimes, we look at our weaknesses, our limitations, our lack of experience, and think, “God can’t use me.”

But God has never needed a perfect vessel. He needs a willing one.

Your weakness does not disqualify you. Your little strength does not limit God. If He can bring victory through Gideon and just 300 men, He can use you to reach a soul, change a life, and advance His Kingdom.

Stop waiting until you feel qualified. Go where God sends you. He will be your strength.

Unreached People of the Day: 2nd September 2026: Pray for Barua
Global Population:37,900 Christian:0.00% Primary language:Chittagonia Primary religion:Buddhism

Magh Baruas are renowned for their cooking, with traditional recipes handed down through generations. They also engage in farming, fishing, and hunting. In the past 20 years, education levels among them have improved. Many Barua men and women have obtained jobs as office workers, teachers, and administrators. The Barua are a Bengali-speaking Magh ethnic group residing in the Chittagong division of Bangladesh, West Bengal in India, and Rakhine state in Myanmar, where they are referred to as the Magh Barua.

Ministry Obstacles
The Barua have a Buddhist background, but their beliefs are changing today. Unfortunately, they are being exposed to Hinduism, not the saving gospel. Unless gospel workers go to them, they will turn to the gods of Hinduism rather than the only savior of mankind.

Scripture Focus
But he answered, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:4

Scripture Prayer
Pray that today’s people group to learn and understand that the Bible comes from the mouth and mind of the one, true God.

Prayer Focus

Pray for God to show himself powerful and loving by providing for their needs. Pray that the Barua will have a spiritual hunger that will open their hearts to the King of kings. Pray for workers who are driven by the love and boldness of the Holy Spirit to go to them. Pray for a movement to Christ among them.

Unreached People of the Day: 1st September 2026: Pray for Badhik
Global Population:9,900 Christian:0.00% Primary language:Hindi Primary religion:Hinduism

Badhik traditionally hunted animals and trapped birds and sold them for their livelihood. Currently, they are butchers and also engage in various forms of agriculture. They offer their services for the ceremonial slaughter of animals. Badhik place themselves among the Sudra in the Hindu varna order. They marry within the community. Being Hindu, they observe most Hindu festivals.

Ministry Obstacles
This small, low-status caste probably has a low literacy rate and virtually no access to the gospel message. Uttar Pradesh, the home state of the Badhik, is a place where perhaps only one in 1,000 bows their knee to Jesus Christ. Who will go there with the gospel?

Scripture Focus
But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
Malachi 4:2

Scripture Prayer
Pray that this people group would fear the name of the Lord and experience His healing.

Prayer Focus

Rural areas have few amenities, and the scale of human suffering is immense. Please pray for improved health care facilities throughout the state. Pray for Christ followers to fill the role of health care. Pray for the Badhik to experience God's blessings in such a way they cannot deny his true identity. Pray that soon there will be Badhik disciples making more disciples.
