We are so shocked and sorry to hear about the passing of Hazel Wilkinson (nee Jones). She was a great supporter of Lees Street Church where she spent her early life and always kept in touch to see what news we had, and what was going on at the church. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and our love for a very special lady who will be sadly missing. ❤️

On Sunday Reverend Linda Stevenson had received a certificate from the congregational federation for being qualified as minister for ten years. It doesn’t seem that long since she started the training course in Nottingham, so many things have happened along the way and she is still keeping everyone in check at Lees Street Church..
Well done Linda.

We had another Little Lambs playgroup on the 1st February. This is Lees Street's new group for families with children from 0 to 5 years of age to come and play and learn while their parents watch on or join in. We had a pretty good attendance this month and lots of fun.

This group meets once a month at the moment on the first Saturday of the month.

At the beginning of December we launched our first Little Lambs playgroup. We had a very successful event for the first meeting, despite the bad weather and everyone is looking forward to the next one. Aron would like to thank all those people who helped with the arrangements and refreshments for this, including the parents that got involved with the drawing and the games. ( I don't know who had the most fun) Watch this space for the next event.

Come and join us at Lees street's little lambs playgroup. Everyone is welcome.

Our remembrance day service today was led by our minister Revd Linda Stevenson. This was a lovely service, we had our usual poppy display and we made a remembrance day memory chain with all the people and situations we wish to be remembered or kept in our prayers.

We had our harvest service today, and we would like to thank everyone for their harvest donations. These will be sent to Thorncliffe Grange nursing and residential care home, Audenshaw. Where I'm sure they will be very gratefully received and appreciated.

On Sunday 6th October at 11am. It will be our harvest festival. Please bring gifts of tinned or packaged food to the service; these will be then sent this year to Thorncliffe Grange nursing home after the service.

Today we celebrated Easter Sunday one of the most important celebrations of the Christian year. The congregation brought a gift of fresh eggs, which will be given to Thorncliffe Grange nursing home, Audenshaw. We also had a decorated egg competition and our Easter raffle in aid of church funds. So a busy morning at Lees Street.

The great gift of Easter is Christian hope which makes us have that confidence in God, in his ultimate triumph, and in his goodness and love, which nothing can shake.🙏

🙏May this special day bring you closer together and fill your hearts with love.🙏
