UNCHAR­TERED SALFORD

The AOG England Conference didn’t just meet expectations — it blew the doors off them.

Unchartered became more than a theme; it turned into a prophetic shove into the future. From the first note to the final commissioning, the atmosphere crackled with a sense that God was rewriting maps, redrawing boundaries, and calling us into waters deeper than we’ve ever dared to wade.

Across the sessions, voices from every corner of the movement carried one unmistakable message: the Church in England is not retreating — it’s advancing. Worship roared, teaching hit with clarity and conviction, and the Holy Spirit moved with a boldness that felt both ancient and brand new.

We’ve left with fresh fire and renewed vision. And our fellow pastors left with a collective conviction that the next chapter won’t be written by playing it safe.

This year’s conference didn’t just inspire.
It recalibrated.
It re‑ignited.

MORE THAN SUNDAY

This Sunday at Kings Church Salford, Pastor Paul Briers launches a brand‑new series: More Than Sunday — and we’re starting with a story that’s funny, uncomfortably relatable, and spiritually sharp enough to poke us where it hurts.

Meet Luke Wurman: thirty‑five, employed, polite… and absolutely convinced he had mastered Christianity with the least effort possible.

Luke never missed a Sunday. Ever. He treated church like a spiritual gym membership — show up once a week, do the bare minimum, and assume you’re basically an Olympian. No prayer life, no Scripture beyond the projector screen, no serving, but the same seat every week (which he considered a form of tithing).

Then came the sermon that ruined everything:
“If your faith only exists for 90 minutes on a Sunday, it’s not faith. It’s a hobby.”

Suddenly Luke’s comfortable routine didn’t feel so holy. A week of awkward self‑reflection, a stolen seat, and a front‑row encounter with truth forced him to realise something: Christianity was never meant to be a spectator sport.

This Sunday, we explore what happens when faith moves from attendance to transformation.
