What does it mean to remain faithful when the culture around you is changing?
Synod 2026 brought together clergy, laity and worshippers from across the Diocese of Anglican Missionary Congregations Europe for three days of worship, reflection, teaching, thanksgiving and renewed commitment to the mission of Christ.
From the solemnity of the Collation Service in Manchester to the Bishop’s Charge in Bolton, and from powerful preaching to moments of joyful worship, this documentary captures more than an event. It tells the story of a young diocese finding its voice, remembering the sacrifices that brought it this far, and looking with faith toward the work still ahead.
At the heart of the Synod was a call to truth, discipleship and restoration. In a world where faith is increasingly challenged and truth often treated as relative, the message remained clear: the Church must know Christ, proclaim Christ and make disciples.
There were moments of celebration. Moments of deep emotion. Stories of sacrifice, perseverance and extraordinary growth. And through them all ran one conviction:
“I will restore, says the Lord.”
This is the story of Synod 2026.
A story of mission.
A story of sacrifice.
A story of faith.
And above all, a story of restoration.
