TRUST IN THE LORD, Place your way before him daily.

Psalm 37: 3-8

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Love Not the World

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world." — 1 John 2:15

This verse is not telling us to stop loving people.

After all, John 3:16 says:

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son."

So what is John warning us against?

The answer is found in the verses that follow:

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." — 1 John 2:16

John is cautioning us against being consumed by the values and desires that drive the world's system.

The pursuit of status, recognition, possessions, pleasure and self-glory can subtly become the force that shapes our decisions and priorities.

The danger is this:

When we are driven by the world's desires, it becomes increasingly difficult to be led by God's purpose.

As believers, our lives should not be governed by pride, envy, selfish ambition or the need for approval.

Instead, our motives should be continually aligned with God's Word and His will.

Ask yourself:

• Am I acting out of love or a desire to be seen?
• Am I pursuing God's purpose or my own recognition?
• Am I seeking God's approval or man's applause?

Let your heart be governed by God's purpose, not the world's applause.

January 2026 Prayer and Fasting: Day 20

Key Passage: Luke 5:5– NEVERTHELESS, AT THY WORD!

Verses 4- 5: “When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch: “And Simon answering said unto Him, “Master, we have toiled all the night and have taken nothing. Nevertheless, at Thy word I will let down the net.”

Simon, having toiled all night caught nothing. But at the word of Jesus, he caught so much fish that his net began to break.

Perhaps you have toiled much down the years for certain things and you have got nothing or little to show for your efforts.

The bible tells us also that when Joseph’s word came, the King sent for him and loosed him. (Psalm 105:17-22).

When God’s word finally comes concerning you, everyone and everything will align. The word of the Lord sets things in motion behind the scenes. Because God’s word will not return to him void. (Isaiah 55:11)

May the word of the Lord come for you, and in the same places, goals, ambitions you have toiled, failed, or laboured in without much result, may Abba give you evidence!

Amen.

January 2026 Prayer and Fasting: Day 15

Key Passage: 1 Samuel 10:6 – YOU CAN BECOME ANOTHER MAN!

1 Samuel 10:6 – “And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them and shalt be turned into another man”

You may be wondering how an individual could become “another man". Prophet Samuel used this phrase in order to depict the astonishing level of change to expect. Saul was going to become another man entirely, different from who everyone knew.

But what could change a man completely for the better? It is the Spirit of the Lord.

The outpouring of the Spirit of the Lord upon a person is what can drive drastic change.

Friends, you need the Spirit of the Lord to come upon you to become a different person. Are there certain character traits, mindset or habits that you’ll rather do away with? then you need an outpouring of his Spirit upon you.

The Lord’s Spirit will empower you to become who you could not have been otherwise. When this Spirit comes upon you, you become a candidate for some dimension of the seven spirits of God as seen in Isaiah 11:2:

- The Spirit of the LORD
- The Spirit of wisdom
- The Spirit of understanding
- The Spirit of counsel
- The Spirit of power
- The Spirit of knowledge
- The Spirit of the fear of the Lord

My charge to you is this: Go beyond basic church going. Strive to receive an outpouring of the Spirit of the Lord, and receive an enablement to become whom God has ordained you to be.

Thosse who have always known you, will be shocked at who you will become!

Blessings to you.

January 2026 Prayer and Fasting: Day 13

Key Passage: Psalm 30 – Joy Cometh!

Psalm 30:11-12 “You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever”

I pray for you; may the Lord turn all your concerns into reasons for joyful celebration.

So long as you have been translated into the kingdom of his dear son Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13), then it is Christ in you, the hope of Glory. (Colossians 1:27)

Endless joy of the Holy Ghost will be your portion. This year, the Lord will fill your mouth with praises and joyful singing.

But do you know Christ? Have you accepted him and surrendered to his leadership over your life?

It is not too late. Come to him today. (Matthew 11:28)

January 2026 Prayer and Fasting: Day 10

Key Passage: Psalm 89: 20-37 – The Lord will favour you!

Such outstanding promises David received from the Lord in Psalm 89.

God promised to make him his firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. (Verse 27).

God also promised to never take his lovingkindness from David.

But why did David attract this much favour from Abba?

The bible tells us that it was because of his heart posture. David loved the Lord! He was a man after God’s heart. (Acts 13:22). You see God is not like men who mainly see the outside. God looks on the very inside; your heart!

“I, the LORD, search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct” (Jeremiah 17:10)

So, despite being far from a perfect character, David received God’s favour because he indeed loved the Lord. He reverenced God. And even when he made mistakes; he was humble and grieved over his sins. (Psalm 32 & Psalm 51)

Another way I have found that you can show your love and reverence to God is to begin to model yourself after the character of God. God is quick to forgive, long-suffering and merciful. Find out more about his character through his word.

You’re human so you cannot be perfect. But in your own little way, be quick to forgive, be merciful, be truthful and be generous! You can attract God’s favour by your sheer determination to please him and to be like him, your flaws notwithstanding!

I pray that God’s high favour will find you this year in Jesus name!

January 2026 Prayer and Fasting: Day 8

Key Passage: GENESIS 21: THE LORD WILL BE GRACIOUS TO YOU!

GENESIS 21: 1-2: “Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him”

I pray for you in this second week of the fast, may the Lord be gracious to you. He was gracious to Sarah and kept his promise to her.

Pay attention to that word “gracious”. It is pertinent because, even though Sarah went her own way to look for a solution (Through Hagar), God was still gracious to her and kept his promise.

May the Lord be gracious to you, and may his grace supersede your mistakes and mishaps. May the Lord satisfy you early with his mercy.

VERSE 7: Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.

May ABBA give you a testimony that everyone who hears about it will rejoice with you.

Amen!

January 2026 Prayer and Fasting: Day 6

Key Passage: 1 John 5:4 –YOU WILL OVERCOME!

1 John 5:4: "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith"

Friends, this scripture tells us that “whatever” is born of God overcomes.

"Whatever" does not apply just to you as a person. It applies to your businesses, your projects, your job, your marriage, your child(ren), your friends etc.

Do you have anything in your life that you know for sure was divinely conceived? You know for sure it was a gift from God, or that it came as a miracle?

I assure you, if your faith can come alive, then THAT THING can overcome any challenges. If it was divinely conceived and your faith is intact, no matter the challenges, you will overcome.

But make sure you consciously build your faith!

God bless you!
