MORNING WHISPERS| Matthew 6:16
Fasting is not a performance for people to admire. It is an act of surrender before God.
Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:16 not to fast with a gloomy face just so others will notice our sacrifice. Our fasting should draw us closer to God, not draw attention to ourselves.
Today, let your devotion be sincere. Let your heart seek God, even when nobody is watching.
May your secret place become a place of strength, renewal and deeper intimacy with God.
Prayer:
Lord, purify my heart and teach me to seek You sincerely. May my devotion never be about the applause of people, but about becoming closer to You. Amen.
Good morning. 🤍
