Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on Jesus’ disciples. Many Christians in the United Kingdom celebrate Pentecost, which is also known as Pentecost Sunday, Whitsunday, or Whit Sunday.

We had great fun today at Dowson Primary School doing reflective spaces.

All welcome to join us for our church service tomorrow at 1030 followed by refreshments in the church hall. If you would like to stay on afterwards some are staying to knit/crochet poppies for a Rembrance Day display.

We are in the middle of "A Million Acts of Hope" week which is a national invitation to celebrate the everyday acts of kindness, care and connection happening across the UK.

Hate? No thanks.

We’re celebrating the hopefuls. People showing up. Getting on with it. Making the places they live better for everyone.

Every act matters. Every act adds up.
