Chester DBE have released a new collective worship resource aimed at pupils in KS2 and KS3 to celebrate the Global Week of Prayer taking place between 6-13th September.

Praying for all those going back into school or college this week. We will continue hosting prayer spaces for local schools if you are interested in finding out more there is a meeting at 12 on 9th February in the hall.

If you are free.on Saturday for any length of time between 10am and 4pm please do come and join us as we clean the church and hall plus maintain the grounds. All more than welcome and refreshments will be available.

Please pray for all affected by this incident at The Big Church Festival

Public Statement:

Big Church Festival 2026 has been paused following a serious incident on site, and no further programme will take place today.

First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been directly impacted by the incident.

We understand this will be deeply disappointing for the thousands who have joined us at the festival.

We are working closely with the emergency services and relevant authorities. Further announcements will be made as more information becomes available.

We are grateful for the understanding, patience, and prayers of our community at this time.

I am praying for all those affected by the devastating flash floods in Nepal and Tibet.

I pray for those who are grieving, and for those who are still waiting for news of their missing loved ones. I pray for the emergency workers in the region, operating in immensely difficult conditions to rescue people and bring relief. I pray too for those who are injured, and for the doctors and nurses working tirelessly to bring healing and rebuild lives.

Into the hands of our loving God, and in the name of Jesus Christ, I place all those who watch, wait and weep. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
