We are thrilled to announce the appointment by the Bishop of Manchester of the Revd Tom Phipps as Rector of Christ Church, West Didsbury and St. Christopher, Withington 😀. Date of licensing TBC. Please pray for Tom and his family, and for our church, at this time of transition 🙏.

A meet and greet event will be happening from 5pm at Alexandra park (see map for more details).

A message from Anne following her farewell Eucharist at Christ Church on 30 July:

It was good to see so many of you at Christ Church yesterday, and I’m writing to thank you for such a wonderful ‘send off’. It was everything I hoped it would be.

I feel quite overwhelmed, and still a bit emotional today, as I open cards and presents from so many of you. My over-riding feeling is one of thankfulness for all we shared together over many a long year, and I thank God for that.

I received a card from one of our young folk that said “Dear Anne, thank you for guiding me in my faith. I’ll never forget our talks about Manchester City”.

I think that sums up my time here pretty well.

Much love to you all. You will be in my prayers, and I ask you to pray for me.

The risen Christ came and stood among his disciples and said "Peace be with you." Then were they glad when they saw the Lord.
