☕💗 Coffee Morning for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven 💗☕

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and show support for everyone affected by breast cancer.

Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the UK, with around 59,400 people diagnosed each year?

On Wednesday 21st October, we're hosting a coffee morning in support of Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven, a local charity doing amazing work to support people affected by breast cancer.

Come along and enjoy a cuppa, a slice of delicious homemade cake and plenty of friendly conversation, all in aid of a wonderful cause.

And if you'd like to, why not wear a splash of pink to mark the occasion? 🌸

📣 Volunteers needed!

Are you looking for a way to give back to your local community? Or a rewarding way to put your cooking skills to good use?

We’re looking for volunteers to help cook our monthly community lunch at Holy Trinity Parish Hall.

📅 When: First Thursday of each month
👩‍🍳 What: Cooking delicious main meals and puddings
🍽️ Who for: Around 30 people from our local community

Our community lunch is a lovely place for people to come together over a home-cooked meal and enjoy friendly conversation.

We’re delighted that Rev Becky will be representing the Diocese and will have a voice in shaping the future of the Church of England.

Congratulations to Becky and all those elected 🎉

Following the electronic count on 14 October, six people have been elected to stand for General Synod from across the Diocese. Elected to the House of Laity were Hannah Barlow, Elliot Granger and Lynn Nichol and elected to the House of Clergy were Becky Elliott, Adam Hadley and Claire Lording. Congratulations to those who were elected and thank you to all those who stood, as well as those who have represented the Diocese over the last five years.

This month, Creative Church will be joining Orchard Church at St James’, where we’ll be exploring all the different leaves growing in the orchard. 🌿🍂

Well done to all the volunteers who were able to show their command of general knowledge in a fun quiz last night, and thanks to Holy Trinity Church, Malvern for letting us use their Church Hall. One of the harder questions was to identify the painter of this - do you know ?

Looking for a moment of peace and quiet? Our labyrinth is a gentle place for quiet reflection, prayer or simply taking some time to slow down and enjoy being in nature.

Set in our churchyard, the labyrinth is open to everyone throughout October. Come and walk it at your own pace – there’s no right or wrong way.

Why not take a few minutes out of your day to pause, breathe and reflect? 🌱
