Easter Saturday - all is quiet - Jesus is in the tomb. The 12 disciples, the women, the wider followers are together. There is grief, shock, confusion, tears, prayers, faith? Jesus had told them he would rise again, but whether they had confidence in that I’m not sure - what they did have was each other. A community came together to support and encourage each other. When heaven seems silent, don’t ignore the power of community to sustain you, find somewhere where you can know others and be known for who you are.

If you ever feel alone, unsure of your value or whether you matter then look to the cross on Good Friday - Jesus went through the pain of being rejected, being shamed, being excluded and being killed because he didn’t want you to feel that way - For God so loved the world he sent his only son - you matter to God.
