Our wonderful East window continues to tell the Good Friday story, having just celebrated the church's 151st birthday yesterday.

Although our cafe is not open today, the church building is still open for visitors, so why not pop in for a look?

The church is usually open every day, allowing you to:
1) explore our historic building
2) browse our New-to-you sale table
3) spend time in private prayer and meditation
4) enjoy the beautiful spring flowers in our churchyard

You may have noticed a lot of activity at St James in recent weeks.
We were successful in securing a substantial award from the National Heritage Lottery to supplement the generous donations we had already received from Little Malvern and Welland Parish Council and our many supporters.
This funding will enable four main strands of work:

1) Essential maintenance to the roof
2) Renovation and improvement to the clock
3) Restoration of our historic organ
4) Installation of modern eco-friendly heating

There is no service at St James today (22nd March), due to ongoing work to install our new heating system.

Good news and bad from St James.
First the good news. We are delighted that work is progressing well on our new heating system. We can't wait to experience the benefit.
The bad news is that it has not progressed as fast as expected. As you can see from the photo, the scaffolding is still in place, so we will be unable to hold our planned service of Communion on 22nd March.

This week our clock is having an essential service, so do not be alarmed if you notice that it has stopped.

We expect it to be working again by the end of this week.
