St Leonard and St Marys RC Church, Malton

St Leonard and St Marys RC Church, Malton Weekend Mass times
Saturday Vigil Mass 6.30pm
Sunday Mass 9.00am

Other Mass times posted weekly. Confessions, on request.

Our church was founded in 1190 and is probably the oldest Roman Catholic Church still in use in England. It has stood for over 800 years as a testament to the glory of God and the skills of its builders and craftsmen and as a witness to the faithfulness of many generations of Christians. Father Timothy Bywater is our parish priest. The Parish of St Leonard and St Mary covers about 200 square miles of the Vale of York, the Vale of Pickering and the East Yorkshire Wolds. It is based in the adjacent towns of Malton and Norton-on-Derwent and includes over 40 villages and hamlets. As a parish community we are committed to ecumenical partnership with the churches of Ryedale.

*CAFOD: Good business matters: From the clothes we wear, to the food we eat, and the equipment used by NHS staff, the goods and services we use every day are part of global supply chains – and sadly, human rights abuses and environmental destruction take place throughout these chains with a
profound cost. We need new laws to protect people and the earth, and on Wednesday 21 October, as part of a coalition of organisations, we will take part in a lobby of MPs in Parliament called Good Business Matters to push for new legislation, because the UK is falling behind other countries in
Europe on this. We aim to take around 20 CAFOD supporters to this lobby.
