St Michaels Church Welcome to the Website of St Michael's New Malton, the Church in the Market Place of the Historic North Yorkshire Market Town in the Diocese of York. St.

Michael’s aims to be a witness to the love of God in Malton through worship, outreach and fellowship. The PCC has an active Mission Committee seeking appropriate ways to implement this aim in various ways within the town and particularly within it’s schools. Our work with youngsters through Messy Church and Sweaty Church are an important part of this mission.

September is here and we turn our plans to Harvest. All will be welcome at our Harvest Beetle Drive with a Pie and Pea supper.

Lots of fun as Messy Church went wild today! We’re so glad we didn’t cancel as the weather was much kinder than had been predicted. A bit different to normal this time with thanks to our friends at St Mary’s. Yesterday we thought we would have to move everything inside. Luckily the rain stayed away so we could enjoy the bouncy castle and tree investigation activities outside. Lots of fun inside as we explored the story of Zacchaeus. We even managed to have our story celebration outside- until we thanked God for giving us clear skies, at that moment he decided it was time for the rain to come. This caused much hilarity.
Our next family events are Rise and Shine at St Michael’s on Sunday 20th September. Then a Harvest games and Beetle Drive with pie and pea supper on 3rd October. Watch out for details.

Good news!

We have decided we are going ahead with Messy Church tomorrow. We have altered the plans slightly so that rain won’t dampen the fun and are planning some of the activities inside St Mary’s Church. There will still be things outside so come dressed appropriately.
Don’t forget your picnic and to park either at the Gannock or opposite the Royal Oak.
See you in the morning.

Just a reminder that Messy Church is moving outdoors this week and will be taking place at St Mary’s Church in Old Malton.

Just a warning Thursday’s forecast is not looking good. Weeks of no rain and it looks as though Thursday is when it is going to come. If this is the case we will have to cancel our session. We will let you know on here if this is the case, so keep your eyes peeled.

We really do hope we will see you on Thursday for lots of fun and games.

As the holidays march on we have an exciting date for your diaries!
Thursday 20th August is our next Messy Church from 11-1.
Please note this session is being held in the grounds of St Mary’s Church in Old Malton. This is so we can ‘go wild outside’.
Lots of fun activities with an outdoor theme.
As we have no catering facilities we request that you bring a picnic as well as rugs or chairs.
Please park in the car park opposite the Royal Oak or on the Gannock.

Thursday20th August is our next Messy Church.
This time we are meeting at St Mary’s Church in Old Malton so we can be messy outdoors. Same fun with an outside theme.
