Hello Friends,

As you will all be aware, Rev Sarah Simpson is retiring at the end of this month, after 30 years of ministry in the URC.

This is a small reminder that tomorrow will be her final service at Malmesbury URC. There will be Holy Communion, a special liturgy, a handful of invited guests from community groups Rev Sarah has worked closely with, and a couple of tiny surprises.

We hope to see as many as are able for worship at 10.30am, and for cake and drinks afterwards to give Rev Sarah the sending off celebration she deserves!

We're looking forward to our joint Pentecost service today at Malmesbury Abbey, along with our friends from Churches across Malmesbury. Several of our talented church members are involved with this exciting piece of street theatre. 😃

Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July. Meet characters from Malmesbury’s amazing past in places they made history in our fun, live, costumed drama. Enjoy a unique journey across time and to some very special places...

What will happen? You’ll meet your experienced Time Traveller Guide at Malmesbury Town Hall at your appointed time. An hour and a half later, fingers crossed, you’ll return to present day Malmesbury. In between you'll have walked about a mile, have encountered a cast of over 30, and will definitely have some stories to tell!

Choose your travel time and get tickets (£5:00 each) at https://malmesbury.gov.uk/what-s-on/magical-history-tour and the Town and Tourist Information Centre in Malmesbury Town Hall. There are just six performances each day, starting at 1:30pm and then departing at 20 minute intervals. Audience sizes are very strictly limited. Suitable for all the family.
