Goddess Temple of Ēast-Seaxe

Goddess Temple of Ēast-Seaxe A monthly pop up temple within the Kingdom of Essex where Anglo Saxon heritage is celebrated.

22/01/2024

The Goddess Temple of Ēast-Seaxe will now be known as The Temple of Ēast-Seaxe.

This is to make the Temple more widely known to both male and female and to also honour the male deities as well as the female aspects.
Women were highly thought of by the Anglo-Saxons. So I'm not pushing aside the Goddess aspects, only bringing both together under one Temple roof.
We will be meeting up every 4th Monday of the month...at the moment at a private dwelling, but once numbers increase I hope to get back to the hall again.
If you are interested in joining us, please message on here, or message Elizabeth Le Fay. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Thank you 🙏

A temple that gathers every 4th Monday of the month discovering and discussing all things Anglo Saxon. We look at both masculine and feminine aspects of this period, also providing talks and workshops. Donations asked for at each gathering.

Hi all
For the time being, we will be meeting at a different venue, until a time when numbers increase.
Also, I will be having a new page to take place of this one called 'The Temple of Ēast-Seaxe' due to the fact that having just a Goddess centred Anglo Saxon temple doesn't sit well. I will also be incorporating the masculine too.
These meetings will still take place on the 4th Monday of the month...with one taking place tonight.
If you are interested in joining us this evening...and/or for future evenings please contact Elizabeth Le Fay or this page and I will give you the address. It is a private venue for the time being.
Thank you. Lyz

There will be no temple in December due to it falling on the 25th.
Will be back again on the 4th Monday in January.
Wishing you Yuletide happiness and peace.

Thank you to those who made it last night. Although a small group, it was intimate. This time we spoke about Erce...the Earth Goddess and this time of year...'Harvest Home'.
Because the Anglo Saxon goddesses are ones lesser known, my quest is to bring them to the fore and also to bring a temple to Essex.
If you would like to discover more about the lesser known Anglo Saxon goddesses and the celebrations they hold...then come along every 4th Monday of the month to Langford and Ulting Village Hall, near Maldon.
All I ask is a donation of £5 for the venue and refreshments.
I look forward to seeing you.
There will be an event page up each month.

Welcome to the Goddess Temple of Ēast-Seaxe.
This is a different temple to the Essex Temple as this one gives the ability to meet up once a month as a 'pop up temple'. The Essex Temple is an online temple.
The Goddess Temple of Ēast- Seaxe will be meeting up on the 4th Monday of the month beginning in August (venue to be unveiled in the next couple of weeks).
So what is this temple all about?
Our Anglo-Saxon heritage is spread far and wide over the Kingdom of Essex. Anglo-Saxons had many Gods but also they had their Goddesses....Frige, Eostré and Freo being just a few to mention.
The Trinovantes were the Celtic tribes across Ēast Seaxe as the Iceni were known in the East Angles. These also had their Goddesses, Epona and Sinua being just a couple.
Each month, we will celebrate and talk about Anglo Saxon or Celtic Goddesses, set up an altar, sing songs, drum and generally join together, make friends.
Each month there will be hot refreshments served.
A donation of £5 for the temple would also be appreciated towards refreshments, and the venue.
This is a non profitable organisation. The rest of the donations will go towards the temple's upkeep.
So why not come and join us for an evening in the Goddess Temple of Ēast-Seaxe.
People of all genders are very welcome to join.
I will post up very soon the venue which will be held near Maldon.
Thank you
