It’s Father's Day this Sunday! And at MFC we'll be paying tribute to the dad / men in our lives, with a gift or two. But we'll also be continuing our series on the book of Joshua and thinking about something many a dad can relate to (not to mention everyone else): what to do when we get things wrong. Can major blunders be forgiven? Is there a way back from failure? Join us at 10.30am this Sunday to find out.

This week, as we continue in the book of Joshua, we come to one of those pivotal moments, one that most of us are aware of, at least: the battle of Jericho. It's a story that raises both archaeological and moral questions, not to mention theories as to what took place. But as we'll see, the battle is really all about worship: what it looks like, and the difference it can make. Find out more at 10.30am this Sunday.

Most of us will have to undergo surgery at some point. And if we do, it will (most likely) be because we need it. This Sunday, as we continue in the book of Joshua, we find God commanding the Israelites to do some surgery of their own. What was the reason? What did it say about their priorities? And most importantly: what does it mean for us? Get ready for an appointment with the Great Physician at 10.30am!

Whenever God calls us to step out in faith, try something different, or simply say yes to His plans for us, there will be obstacles to overcome – obstacles that can seem too big for us. For Joshua and the Israelites about to enter the land of Canaan, theirs was the river Jordan – a river in flood. What might ours be? And how might we overcome them? Prepare to face those challenges 10.30am this Sunday!

This Sunday is Pentecost. What is Pentecost? The moment God filled the followers of Jesus with His Spirit, and the Church was born! And at MFC we'll be celebrating with some great songs, fun activities, a contribution from Supernova kids' club, and a message from our own Kellie Edney on how we all have a part to play in God's family. All that, and a global fusion lunch, too. The celebration starts 10.30am - see you then!

The world is a dark and broken place, even when it pretends not to be. And as followers of Jesus, we are called to infiltrate it, and save those who are willing to listen. So how do we do that, and do it well? This Sunday we’ll explore a story involving a couple of spies and a woman with a past – but a future of hope and blessing. What do their actions have to teach us? Come and find out at 10.30am.
