# # 🐍 **Serpents and False Teachers – How Satan Still Twists God's Word Today**

One of Satan's oldest strategies has never changed.

He doesn't usually begin by denying God's Word.
He begins by **twisting it**.

That same pattern can be seen throughout Scripture and is still affecting the Church today.

Jesus warned us.
Paul warned us.
Peter warned us.
Jude warned us.
The question is...

**Can we recognise biblical truth from convincing error?**

After many months of prayer, study and writing, I'm pleased to make this teaching available in three formats.

This is not about attacking people.

We know the latest football transfers.

We know who won at Wimbledon.

We know the latest celebrity romance.

We know what's trending on social media.

We know who's arguing, who's winning, who's famous and who's fallen.

But...

Do we know God's Word as well?

Do we speak about Jesus with the same passion?

Do we celebrate one sinner coming to Christ as enthusiastically as we celebrate a cup final, a championship title or a celebrity success?

The issue isn't football.

It isn't tennis.

It isn't music.

It isn't entertainment.

**The issue is worship.**

Whatever consistently captures your attention, commands your emotions, dominates your conversations and shapes your priorities is quietly becoming your god.

The Bible calls that **idolatry**.

Today's golden calves don't stand in fields of gold.

They glow in our hands.

They fill our screens.

They dominate our conversations.

And too often, they steal our affection from Christ.

I've written a new meditation that asks some searching questions—not to condemn, but to call us back to our first love.
