Florencio Anton is a psychic medium who produces stunning paintings and drawings under the influence of various spirit artists.
He will be in Bicester, Oxfordshire, on Saturday 28th February to give a live demonstration of mediumistic painting, creating works of art in a matter of minutes.
This is a fundraising event. All artwork will be auctioned at the end of the demonstration, with the proceeds going to help poor communities in Brazil.

Want to join us for a Brazilian treat? 🇧🇷 🍽️

Kardec Group is a charity organisation based in Bicester, and we will be having a fundraising Feijoada on Sunday 8 Feb, at Bicester Bowls Club.

If you have never had it before, Feijoada is a rich, slow-cooked stew of black beans simmered to perfection with a mouthwatering array of cured and smoked meats. Think flavoursome ingredients melding together in a dark, glossy, and impossibly delicious sauce, served alongside rice, farofa (fried cassava flour), fried spring greens, and a slice of orange to help refresh the palate. (Have we whetted your appetite yet?)

Professional chef, and culinary teacher, Chef Luh Sorrino, will be coming to cook this delicious dish for us.

Meat and veggie options will be available, as well as smaller portions for kids.

The price is all-inclusive of food, drinks, and dessert.

Tickets need to be purchased in advance, so that Chef Luh knows how much to prepare.

In memory of Janet Duncan - 1928-2026

It is with sadness that we share the news that Janet Duncan has passed away at the age of 97.

Janet moved to Brazil in the late 40s/early 50s, and it was while living there for thirty years that she met (and studied with) Chico Xavier and learnt about Spiritism. She returned to the UK in the 1980s and helped revive the Spiritist movement here, as well as translating books into English, including The Gospel According to Spiritism and Christian Agenda.

And, so, we end 2025 – with a celebration of friendship and joy.

During the year we said ‘bon voyage’ to those moving aboard, welcomed new friends, and greeted colleagues who returned to the UK (as well as those who we previously only met online).

We studied together each week, sharing our thoughts and experiences about topics that helped us to reflect.

In the summer we listened to talks about insightful women during SPIRITISMx; and in the autumn, we commemorated 10 years of activities with a reflective workshop about Spiritism in our lives.

And, now, we are only a few days from the New Year.

We hope that you can continue to support us during 2026.

Our weekly meetings will continue as normal: Saturdays in English – hybrid every week; Wednesdays in Portuguese – alternating between online and hybrid every other week.

If you want to join us in our studies of the works of Allan Kardec – either online or in-person in Bicester –, sharing our thoughts and seeing how we can apply Spiritism to our daily lives, just let us know. We welcome all those who wish to study with us.

On Sunday 2nd November, Kardec Group held a special workshop with Marlon Reikdal and Anne Sinclair to celebrate 10 years of our activities.

It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate, and reflect on the positive influence that Spiritism can have on our lives.
