Something to ponder upon!

The Importance of Faithful Church Attendance

Just as a fish cannot survive without water, a Christian cannot expect to grow spiritually while continually staying away from the fellowship of the local church. Church attendance does not save us, but faithful participation in church helps us grow through the preaching of God’s Word, fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and service.

Your pastor can preach, teach, counsel, and pray for you—but you must be willing to be present, listen, learn, and obey God’s Word. Spiritual growth requires personal commitment.

Don’t make church attendance optional. Be faithful to the house of God, because spiritual growth happens when we continually expose ourselves to God’s Word and godly fellowship.

Hebrews 10:25 (KJV)
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another…”

1 Peter 2:2 (KJV)
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”

“You cannot expect to grow spiritually while continually neglecting the place where you are taught, encouraged, corrected, and equipped through God’s Word.”
