Bridgend Deanery Mothers Union branches came together to celebrate 150yrs of the MU,at the Watermill.
It was a lovely afternoon of friendship, fellowship and catching up with friends. A special mention to our Deanery Leader Francis and Branch Leader Kay for organising the lunch event.
Linda brought with her a necklace given to her mother at the 100th anniversary of Mothers' Union. A very special necklace to her.

Yesterday we had two joyful events in our Ministry Area.
Rev'd Rick officiated at the Marriage of Christopher and Helen at St Cynwyd's Church and Rev'd Lisa Baptised Josh Richard at St David's Church.
May God's blessing be upon them all as they journey this new chapter.

Today we held a Re-dedication service for St Mary's Remembrance Garden in Garth Maesteg.
Rev'd Bev led a beautiful service as the garden has had new benches, railings and grass.
As the church is now closed the Cross from the roof of the Church has been put in the garden.
It is a beautiful tranquil space to come & sit, and to remember all of those we have loved but lost.

Whether you have loved ones to remember, are seeking a quiet place for prayer, or simply wish to celebrate this special addition to our church, you will be made very welcome.

Following the short service of blessing, there will be an opportunity to spend time in the garden together.

It was a joy today to be present at the Cathedral to see Christoph Ordained Deacon. Christoph was with us training in our Ministry Area for just over a year.
He now moves to his new MInistry Area where he will serve his Curacy for the next 3years.
Congratulations Christoph and many blessings for your future ministry.

Last night we had a wonderfully positive Annual Vestry Meeting.
We welcomed new Wardens and celebrated the year we have had.
Thank you to everyone who work so hard for the good of our churches, ministry area
and for our faith.
