Pope Leo XIV concludes his first encyclical Magnifica Humanitas with a powerful reflection on Mary's song of hope, the Magnificat.

We join the Holy Father in entrusting our commitment to help build a better world to "to the Mother of Christ, to the Woman of the Magnificat that she may guide our steps through this time of change and preserve in each of us true faith in the Gospel, so that we may bear witness to the grandeur of humanity, in which God has made his dwelling."

PENTECOST VIGIL: Saturday 23 May, 7.30pm. Join us for our Pentecost Vigil after the 6.30pm Vigil Mass, with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, praise and worship, and the Via Lucis (Way of Light) prayer. After the service, everyone is warmly invited for wine and nibbles in the Parish Hall. For more information, please contact Deacon Gyorgy.
LET US MAKE ‘PENTECOST’ SPECIAL: In many countries, Catholics mark Pentecost Sunday (24th May) with special church services, and processions. As our parish community is blessed with so many different nationalities, why not have readings/psalm/hymns in different languages? And, what about wearing red for Mass to symbolise the tongues of fire? Please sign up in the porch if you would like a reading or the psalm (sung) in your own language. The congregation will follow in English using the newsletter.
