St. Stephen's Anglican Church - Forest Chapel Church of England place of worship, originally dating to 1673 set in the stunning Macclesfield Forest. Regular Evensong at 3.00pm every first Sunday.

Interesting architecture and history combined with a rural location high in the hills, make this a perfect place for quiet reflection, weddings, christenings and other events. Very friendly congregation who welcome all and the church is open for visitors all year round. The annual Rushbearing event brings visitors from around the globe, with its symbolic ties. As Summer Solstice bows out, soon, comes the annual Rushbearing Ceremony at St.Stephen's. The uplifting and renewal of old reeds, from the floors in an ancient church, to receive freshly cut rushes combined with sunflowers.
Usually the first Sunday before August 14th.

The Annual Spring Fair is on 19th March and to be held at Wildboarclough Community Rooms on Hall Lane from 1.30-4.00pm.
Free parking on Hall Lane and admission to the event is£1. This is a fundraising event to help towards church upkeep.
The fair will feature a selection of stalls, home produce and baked cakes with refreshments.
Local art display, raffle and tombola, games and books, flower and bulb arrangements and bric-a-brac will all be for sale.
Contributions on the day and offers of help to man stalls, setting up and packing away afterwards would be appreciated.

7th February 15.00-16.00 hours. A beautiful tribute to last moon quarter of evensong and prayer. Good company, warm drinks and home made biscuits afterwards.
