The church began as a couple of families and friends meeting in the living room, but as the church grew this meeting space became too small. In 1991 the church began leasing the former St John Ambulance Hall on St Andrews Road North. In 2006, when the St John Ambulance needed to demolish its building, the church was glad to be offered the use of Mayfield Primary School Hall for Sunday services. Ov
er the next 7 years the church leaders were constantly looking for new premises in which to worship God, serve the community and extend the Kingdom of God. In a miraculous turn of events the church was able to purchase, without a mortgage, a derelict furniture shop. As renovations began it was discovered that the building was originally a Baptist Chapel, which was built in 1888, 100 years before FCSC began. Throughout its time in St Annes, Fylde Christian Service Church has always aimed to share the hope which Jesus Christ offers. On many occasions members of the church have met in St Annes Square or Ashton Gardens to share that message of hope (in rain or shine!). The church also share the good news of Jesus through action and has a long history of serving the community of St Annes in practical ways. Through the years this has included visiting hospitals, residential homes, providing food parcels, offering financial guidance, organising table top giveaways and running youth cubs. The church has been blessed to have many strong links Christians in countries all over the world including Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and America. FCSC has organised many missions and supported missionaries all over the world.
