😍 It's an absolute pleasure to be able to have so many weddings in our wonderful church, especially those involving RNLI Lyme Regis - we believe that the church offers more than just a place for a ceremony, but a lifelong commitment to supporting all those who love each other.

Such a wonderful wedding today with a guard of honour from the life boat crew for one of their own… St Michael's - Lyme Regis Parish Church

Theme: Love & Presence (John 14:15–21)

🕊 Not left alone

Jesus speaks about love, presence, and the promise that we are not left to face life on our own.

Even when faith feels distant, there is still a quiet presence with us.

This Sunday we’ll be exploring what that might mean — in everyday life, in small moments, and in the bigger picture too.

Come and join us — whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or returning after a while.

Join us at St Michael's Parish Church on Ascension Day Thursday 14th May - 6pm, to listen to our local Organist Alex Davies play L'Ascension by Olivier Messiaen.
Ascension Day is Christian holiday marking the bodily ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven. Always on a Thursday it commemorates the final day Jesus appeared to his disciples following his resurrection.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled.” John 14
They’re words of comfort — but also an acknowledgement that life can feel troubling.
This Sunday we’ll be reflecting on where we find hope, reassurance, and a sense of direction when things feel uncertain.
If you’re carrying worries or simply looking for a quiet space to reflect, you’d be very welcome with us.

🌿 Known and called by name

Jesus describes himself as the Good Shepherd — someone who knows each of his sheep by name and calls them gently.

In a busy, noisy world, that’s a powerful thought:
that we are known, recognised, and cared for.

This Sunday we’ll be exploring what it means to listen for that voice, and to find rest and guidance in it.

Whether church feels familiar or completely new, you’d be very welcome to join us.

🚶‍♂️ Walking together

Two people walked along a road, talking through everything that had happened… trying to make sense of it all.

And without realising it, Jesus was walking right beside them.

Sometimes life feels like that — confusing, uncertain — and yet we are not alone.

This Sunday at St Michael’s, we’ll be reflecting on that story and what it might mean for us today.

You’re very welcome to come along, just as you are.
