St Michael's has been renowned for its organ recitals and this Bank Holiday Monday 31st August. Peter Irving will be performing at 11.30am raising funds for the Church's New Toilets. Entrance is free though donations would be much appreciated to help fund this project.

On the 12th August we had the great pleasure of the Laudemus Choir singing Evensong for us at St Michaels. The service was taken by Canon Andrew from Wimborne Minster. The service was during the Eclipse and it was very atmospheric when it went darker.

🥾 Rev. Fi will be attempting to walk between the 12 churches in our team on 12th September in order to support these beautiful and ancient buildings for the Dorset Historic Churches Trust. It will be up hill, down vale (with the odd lift here and there!). Please support her if you can! Emma Lydon will also be doing something and we look forward to sharing what she's up to 😀

Tomorrow, Sunday, 9th August, you’re warmly invited to join us at 11am for Morning Communion, led by Revd Lucyann Ashdown.

Our readings include the wonderful story of Jesus walking on the water — a reminder to keep our eyes on Christ, even when life feels a little stormy. 🌊🙏

🚽 You might have seen some work going on at the church over the past month - we're finally having toilets fitted within the main church building after 800 years! Everybody who has visited us for services, baptisms, weddings, funerals, concerts and everything in between knows the inconvenience of having to go out of the church into the church hall next door to use the loos.

This project delivers having toilets accessible for all for the first time, helping to modernise the church building, and allow us to do even more in Lyme Regis!

🛠 Wiscombe & Son LTD are helping build and fit the new toilets; Marcus Chantry is our architect.

😍 We love seeing our Team Rector out and about, supporting the civic life of the town! Fi works to bring faith and belief into Lyme, and can be found involved in many events beyond our Sunday Morning services - seen recently in the Somers Day ceremonies. As much as people might just associate us with the church building, there's far more that we do outside of the church than just meet on Sunday morning!
