A growing non-denominational fellowship of disciples for Christ, is a power house of activities. On Sundays at 9.30am we kick things off with a prayer meeting.
10:30am our main service starts, its well known for running over, we do not limit what God is doing, and each Sunday is devoted to Him and allowing Him to direct. It starts with holy spirit lead worship and then goes into a talk/preach. We
have two Sunday schools, the younger is for primary age and the older one is for secondary school and above. We teach foundational biblical doctrines and from it how to conduct yourselves in a western world which is crumbling away from us a moral stance it once held.
6pm each and every Sunday evening we have a worship service, this lasts an hour or more if needed. Once a month we lead a service in the afternoon at a local nursing home. Wednesday’s we have an interactive Bible Study in the morning starting at 10:30am with a coffee.
12-4.30 we have LCF open day, which involves free food, and activities and a welcoming place for a nice chat. Then on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm we have a Men’s Movie Night where there is food (totally free) a film / documentary followed by prayer. Having a group of men sat around together praying for each other and those in the wider community is a powerful thing. Thursdays we have a foundational bible study, for new Christians or those who want to refresh or even those who are seeking. Beginning with coffee, 10.30am at Kip and Doreen’s house. Friday we have the ladies Movie Night at 7pm with food (yup you got it, free) a film and prayer. A great opportunity of women of any age to mix in fellowship. Finally, the last Sunday of every month we do a Roast Dinner, not just for attendees of Lydney Christian Fellowship but for anyone who wants to come, its an open invitation and we serve up plenty so the food keeps flowing, oh, and its free. The time of the Roast is 1pm, but just before that we go out on the streets to meet and pray with people who want prayer, and there are lots who do. We have some amazing encounters and its a privilege to be able to cut through and have meaningful life changing conversations, this little outreach is called ‘Feet on the Street’. We go on the principle of work first food last, so we hit the streets at 12 and get back for the roast at 1. In summer we do 3 BBQ’s instead of Roasts. Usually at Ian & Amy’s house and then 1 at Miriam’s and 1 somewhere else! For one week in November LCF becomes a busy Church Collection Centre for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. Lydney Christian Fellowship is all for hearing God’s will and acting upon it. Standing on Biblical teaching and values, with the sole aim of helping disciple people in their walk with Christ. We also support various overseas missions as the Lord leads. Life is a gift, its exciting and amazing, through the ups and downs peace is there for all.
