⛪ Our usual 11 a.m. service this Sunday (6 September) will be taking place at 10.30 a.m. (not 10.40 as previously stated) instead and will be a shared service with St Cuthbert’s⛪

🙏 Our 8 a.m. BCP Communion service will go ahead as normal🙏

🎉Get ready for a fantastic evening of 70s music, great food, refreshments and a fun quiz with prizes! 🎉

📅 Saturday 5th September
⏰ 7:00 pm
📍 St Thomas Church Centre, Church Lane, Lydiate

🍽️ Food and refreshments are included, so come along, enjoy a delicious bite to eat, have a drink, test your knowledge in our quiz and dance the night away to some classic 70s hits! 🎵

Children £5

Most importantly, all money raised is in aid of church funds. Your support will help us continue to maintain and support our church and its activities.

📚✝️A warm welcome to all as we begin a new season and, with schools returning, are reminded that we never stop learning. 📚✝️

🤝💜In this month’s reflection, our Rector encourages us to listen to one another, respect our differences and remain open to new perspectives. Jesus constantly challenged people to see the humanity in those who were different from them, bringing people together to learn from and care for one another. 🤝💜

🙏As a church family, we seek to do just that — worshipping together, sharing fellowship, welcoming others and growing in faith. 🙏

🧶 Knit & Natter – Tuesdays, 10am–11.30am at St Cuthbert’s
☕ Coffee & Chat – From Tuesday 8 September, 8.45am, for those dropping children at St Cuthbert’s School
👶 Parent & Toddlers – Restarts Tuesday 8 September, 10.30am–12 noon at St Thomas’ Millennium Centre
🥣 Warm Welcome Lunch – Wednesdays, 12.30–2.30pm. Everyone is welcome!

🎉 70’s Night & Quiz – Saturday 5 September
Come along for a fun evening and help raise much-needed funds for St Thomas’ Church.

🎟️ Bingo Night – Friday 11 September
At St Cuthbert’s School Hall. Bring drinks and nibbles and enjoy an evening of fun while supporting St Cuthbert’s.

⛪ Sunday 6 September – Joint Benefice Service
10.30am at St Thomas’ as we think about mission and ministry with Ruth Hassall.

🙏 Sunday 20 September – Rededication of the New Path
Join us at 9.30am at St Cuthbert’s with the Interim Bishop of Liverpool, Rt Rev’d Ruth Worsley, followed by refreshments in church. All welcome! 🌿

🌍 Eco Church & Closer to Nature – Sunday 27 September
Spend some peaceful time in St Cuthbert’s Memorial Garden reflecting on God's creation and this year's theme of living water. 💧🌿🦋

🚪 St Cuthbert’s Pilgrim Place
Following completion of the new path, St Cuthbert’s will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 9am–3pm, for a six-month trial. Come in for prayer, quiet reflection or a self-guided tour. 🙏🕊️

🌾 Looking ahead – Harvest Weekend, 10 & 11 October
Both churches will be decorated for harvest, with a Harvest Supper, Songs of Praise and a family Harvest celebration with welly parade. 🌽🍎🥾

Whether you're a regular worshipper, a returning friend or visiting us for the first time, you are always warmly welcome. 💛

🌾 Halsall Harvest Weekend – “Farming Through the Ages” 🚜

Join us for a wonderful community Harvest Weekend celebrating Halsall’s farming heritage – past, present and future. 🌾

📅 Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October
⏰ 11am–4pm each day
📍 Halsall Church, School & Memorial Hall

The weekend will feature displays of old farming photographs, tractors, machinery and museum pieces 🚜, along with children’s activities 👧🧒, a local produce sale 🥕🍎, bell ringing 🔔, belfry tours ⛪ and refreshments at all three venues ☕🥪.

🍲 On Saturday evening there will be a Hotpot Supper, and on Sunday at 4pm we will gather in church for Harvest Songs of Praise 🎶🙏.

📖 A programme showing all the activities and times will be available beforehand for £1.

✨ Everyone is warmly welcome! ✨

The event is being held in aid of the Halsall St Cuthbert’s Church Building Fund. ❤️⛪
