A reminder of our Churchyard working day this coming Saturday 13th June.

A Churchyard Open/Work day will be held on Saturday 13th June from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm. Remembering the families buried in the churchyard we will create a large Memorial wreath from hedge and plant cuttings in the churchyard. Bring hand tools (secateurs, shears) to join in the creativity. There will be refreshments in the church or you could bring your own picnic. All welcome.
Please note that no dogs should be brought to this event. Plan your time to come bearing in mind that there are no toilets at this tiny church. Parking near to the church is limited but parking is available at the Snead 'Welcome to Wales' lay-by on the A489. A lane leads down from the lay-by to the footpath access to the church.

Thank you to everyone who came to our May Day Thanksgiving for Creation Service yesterday. Despite the rain it was a joyful occasion. We sang our last hymn outdoors along with the local song birds. Wonderful.

It's thanks to the Hereford Diocese and its staff that we are still open at Snead Church today. Thanks today especially for Stephen.

For many in our parishes, Stephen Challenger is a very familiar face. Stephen is part of our property team and is secretary to the DAC. Today we're celebrating his 20 years service (he's not a social media user but has given us full permission).

The staff group treated him to a quick tea break and a sticky bun to mark the occasion, and he was also presented with the obligatory balloon. (Looks like Stephen might be celebrating with a tipple and a snack after work too )

Congratulations and heartfelt thanks, Stephen, for your quiet dedication and commitment to the diocese.
