The cup for the choir member of the year was awarded tonight for 2025 and I am delighted to announce that it went to Alan Smith. Alan does a massive amount for the choir, setting up and putting equipment away before and after every practice and concert, he is a valued member of the committee and always ready to help organise concerts and events. Alan Smith is a very well deserved recipient. The picture shows the VLMVC Musical Director presenting the cup at this evenings practice. We are a little late presenting it this year as although this is voted for by the committee we didn’t have a Musical Director at the beginning of the year and this was overlooked. Despite that it is very well deserved and important for us to recognise the valuable contribution made by choir members who, on a weekly basis go above and beyond and without whom we wouldn’t have a choir.
