Fellowship Baptist Church We're not perfect people, just following a Perfect Saviour - Jesus Christ. Dieticians tell us that we need our five a day (fruit and veg) to be healthy.

Fellowship Baptist Church was founded in 1982 by our current pastor, Stan Boelman and his wife Paula. Originally named Bethel Baptist Church, the name was changed, after much discussion, to Fellowship Baptist Church. Fellowship is both a noun and a verb; a fellowship is a group of people who share things in common, when people fellowship together they share these things in a positive and helpful w

ay. As a Christian fellowship, we'd like to think we're the sixth … we offer something for the soul. AND GOOD NEWS — FBC is now meeting at Ambleside Community Centre, 19A Ambleside Close, Luton, LU3 2SF. Our meeting starts at 11am. It’s a smaller building than our previous venue but it’s a lovely place to worship.

Crisis? What crisis?

Crises, it’s safe to say there’s always one around the corner.

Lots has been written about to cope in a struggle but what about prayer? Take Moses. He no sooner leads a million Hebrews out of Egypt then he’s got a crisis, the Egyptians are coming after them and they’re boxed in. No escape. No hope? That’s a crisis.

Whilst there’s conversations going on, you won’t find anything that resembles a prayer. Even so, Stan is intending to synthesise some helpful things to add to the concept of prayer in a crisis.

Life will kill you. Death you can survive.

An undertaker was known to sign his letters, “Eventually yours.”

He would have been right. No matter how we try to avoid the subject, Death is like a predator. It stalks us, and nothing can stand in its way.

How morbid. On Sunday, John Bunyan’s pilgrims are nearly at their journey’s end. The city of God is in sight but a barrier lies in the way, the River of Death. Stan will be reflecting on this as we see how Christian and Hopeful face the matter.

Dear reader, a quick question: Are you ready to jump in that river? It’s a sobering thought.

Homesick for heaven? Not half!

So said CS Lewis. On Sunday, Stan will once again be following the pilgrims of John Bunyan’s book. This time they are in a wonderful place called Beulah. It’s a taste of heaven we can all do with.
